This Sunday, The Actors Awards will be streaming on Netflix, paving the way for the much-awaited Oscars. Kristen Bell will be hosting the show for the second year in a row.
Scrubs revival (Hulu)
You know millennials have hit peak nostalgia when the only remaining property that hasn’t been adapted is getting a revival. “Scrubs,” the silly medical dramedy, is back, because 16 seasons wasn’t enough. Zach Braff, Donald Faison, Sarah Chalke, and more are back for the new show.
Carrie (Prime Video)
It’s a good weekend for “Carrie” fans. The two versions of the film, from 1976 and 2013, are now streaming on Prime Video, exploring the story of Carrie, her scary mom, the mean kids that populate the school, and the world’s worst prom.
It Was Just An Accident (Hulu)
If you need to catch up on some of this year’s Oscar movies, there are two great options on Hulu. “It was Just An Accident,” directed by one of Iran’s key filmmakers, Jafar Panahi, follows a group of former Iranian political prisoners who are pondering if they should get revenge on the man that they think tormented them.
The Secret Agent (Hulu)
Then there’s also the Brazilian film “The Secret Agent,” which continues on an impressive streak of political films from Brazil that have resonated globally.
