There’s a lot of stuff to stream nowadays. In hopes of helping you watch more good movies and TV, we compile some of the most exciting titles streaming across all platforms in our weekly column, What To Watch.
One Piece (Netflix)
In theory, “One Piece” shouldn’t work. The series is a live-action adaptation of a beloved manga and anime with hundreds of episodes, following a boy with stretchy powers and his crew of pirates. But the Netflix adaptation has acquired a devoted fan base, with viewers praising its offbeat humor, performances, production design, and ability to scour through the manga and anime in order to deliver the best storylines. All episodes are now streaming.
The Oscars (ABC/Hulu)
The Oscars are this Sunday! It’s been one of the longest awards seasons in recent memory, filled with drama, ballet, and opera criticisms, and more.
Scarpetta (Prime Video)
Nicole Kidman is back with another show. One of our hardest-working actresses today, Kidman is back with “Scarpetta,” the new procedural from Prime Video. In the series, based on a series of books, Kidman plays Dr. Kay Scarpetta, a brilliant forensic psychologist, as she investigates and solves crimes.
The Madison (Paramount+)
Michelle Pfeiffer is back on her TV show, this time, leading her own Taylor Sheridan show. “The Madison” follows the Clyburn family, who are originally from New York, as they relocate to the Madison River valley in Montana to deal with a family tragedy.
Now You See Me: Now You Don’t (Starz)
“Now You See Me” is one of the strangest franchises. While a lot of people remain unconverted, it has a lot of fans! The film, made up of three films and a planned fourth one, stars Jesse Eisenberg, Dave Franco, Woody Harrelson, and more, and follows a group of famous magicians who set up stage productions for crazy heists.
Zootopia 2 (Disney+)
“Zootopia 2” is now available to stream, with the story reuniting the original movie’s cast. The story follows friends and collaborators Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde as they pursue a new enemy across the city of Zootopia.
Virgin River (Netflix)
Lastly, the seventh season of “Virgin River” is now streaming on Netflix. The series is one of Netflix’s most famous cozy romances, following the relationship between Melinda and Jack.
