A Place in the Sun stars’ spectacular homes: From Jasmine Harman’s ‘different’ Spanish home to Jean Johansson’s ‘hotel’ house

Jasmine Harman took her own advice and decided to find her very own ‘a place in the sun’ in Spain, and she then documented the renovation in a dedicated series called Jasmine’s Renovation in the Sun. Despite the ups and downs of the project, Jasmine has enjoyed getting hands-on with things like demolition and plastering.

Speaking on Channel 4, Jasmine admitted her decision to buy a house with husband Jon Boast that needs work came as a surprise even to herself. “Moving abroad has been completely different to what I expected and dreamed of. I never wanted to take on a renovation project but somehow, we fell in love with this house. I’ve seen it so many times with my own house hunters – sometimes it just feels right.” The results of the family’s hard work speak for themselves with beautifully decorated rooms, including amazing spaces for Jasmine’s two children, Joy and Albion

Speaking to HELLO! about the move to Spain, Jasmine revealed it was with the kids in mind: “Our children mean the world to us. Everything we do is for them. It’s about grasping opportunities when you have them. Family is the most important thing and this will give us a much better balance.” 

Laura Hamilton is an interiors and property extraordinaire, and she showcases her current renovation on her YouTube channel, Property with Laura Hamilton. The mother-of-two had always dreamt about having a walk-in wardrobe, and she’s finally achieved it. Hilariously, her children describe it as her “shop” with so many gorgeous clothes and accessories on display.

As well as buying pretty clothes, Laura loves to work out – in fact, so do her kids. The fitness-conscious star has added a home gym to the house by converting one of the five reception rooms. It even has a wall full of mirrors for technique checking!

Danni Menzies said goodbye to her beloved flat in June 2025 after four years of living there, sharing an album of images with her Instagram followers. The cosy and cute space featured a modern bedroom, compact living space and a sweet garden with decking and festoon lights.

Now, Danni’s new property is much bigger with a vast living space decorated with wooden floors, a giant rug and two sofas. The room also has a wall of built-in shelves, ideal for displaying ornaments on.

Scarlette Douglas’ Hertfordshire home often features on her social media, and one day when she gave fans tips on being energy efficient, she showcased her immaculate lounge with grey sofas and pink accents. In the corner is a desk where the former I’m A Celebrity star works. The kitchen-diner features minimalist dark cabinets and beige tiles.

When I interviewed the star at the end of last year, she revealed a property in the sun is on her horizon, too. “I’m purchasing a place at the moment in Dubai,” the presenter said. “Maybe I’ll live between the UK, America, and Dubai. I did move over to the States last year, but my partner doesn’t really want to be in the States, however, he used to live over in Dubai.”

Presenter Ben Hillman lives in Shoreham-By-Sea in West Sussex with his wife Gaby and two children, Hope Blossom and Honour Willow. His property is a labour of love, with Ben saying yes to any DIY project, and he often gets his sweet children involved, too. He embraces colour with a bright yellow bed in his daughter’s room and a stunning teal living room.

Outside, Ben has built his own wooden garden room which serves as his office. He even entered The Shed of the Year in 2023 with his creation named Tangerine Dream. “It looks so great,” and: “I’m so jealous” were among the comments. Working from home never looked so good!

 Jean Johansson lives with her husband, Jonatan Johansson and their son, Junior, in a small village just outside of Glasgow. Speaking to First Time Buyer, she said: “The house is stunning, and our son is very happy here and goes to the local school. It is also near the coast, which is great too.” On Instagram, Jean revealed the couple’s bedroom has metallic baroque print wallpaper and a matching gold bed frame with velvet cushions.

One Christmas, Jean shared a photo of her grand winding wooden staircase, which she had decorated with a tree and stockings. “I thought this was a hotel at first,” admitted one follower, and we can’t help but agree! It’s giving the feel of a country hotel or even a royal residence!

Property developer and presenter Lee Juggurnauth has been with the presenting team since 2021. Lee grew up in Windsor and now seemingly resides in London, according to his Instagram account. In video clips shared online, he’s shown off his modern abode with amazing interiors.

The star’s open-plan living space features a dark dining table in his wooden and black kitchen. The living area features a cream sofa, which Lee likes to dress with a cosy throw. The bathroom in the city property has a minimalist design with beige tiles and black and gold fixtures.
