The estranged mother of Adam Peaty has broken her silence with a series of emotional Instagram posts after she appeared in Gordon Ramsay’s new Netflix documentary Being Gordon Ramsay. Caroline Peaty found herself at the heart of the feud that saw relations break down with her son and his bride Holly Ramsay in the run-up to their December wedding.

In one post, Caroline wrote: “When I die, bury me with a picture of my children. Because the greatest thing I’ve ever done isn’t my career, my house, material things, or the money I’ve made.

“It’s the sleepless nights I survived, the tiny hands I held, the laughter, the tears, and every hug that healed me. The greatest thing I’ve ever done is becoming a mother.”

Along with her youngest child Adam, 31, she is also mother to sons James and Richard and a daughter Bethany. The latter was the only member of the Peaty family invited to the wedding and Holly’s hen do, and she was also a bridesmaid.

Another post saw Caroline ask her followers to “be kind to others… for even the smallest act of kindness makes the world a better place”. Her social media messages come after she was shown embracing her then-future daughter-in-law Holly, 26, in a scene from the six-part docu-series, which was released on Wednesday.

The show follows TV star Gordon as he balances work and family commitments to open five culinary experiences in one of London’s tallest buildings, 22 Bishopsgate. According to the Daily Mail, Caroline had written to Netflix producers asking to be edited out of the series; however, this was not possible as she attended an event where filming notices were displayed.

It is the latest development in the ongoing Peaty-Ramsay feud that erupted last year when it was revealed that Caroline was upset at not being invited to Holly’s hen do at Soho Farmhouse, alongside her mum Tana and family friend Victoria Beckham. It ultimately meant that Adam’s mum was not present when they walked down the aisle at Bath Abbey and celebrated at Kin House mere weeks later.

Such was the interest generated by the very public feud, that many people gathered to catch a glimpse of the newlyweds on their wedding day. HELLO!’s source said that the couple “were inside for a long time doing photos”. They told us: “Their cars started circling the church, then they left via the back door. It was pretty chaotic and all the roads were blocked.”

Since tying the knot, the couple enjoyed a weeks-long sunny honeymoon Down Under before recently landing back in the UK. In the meantime, Gordon, 59, and his wife Tana, 51, have been promoting his new Netflix series, and speaking out about the fallout in interviews.

The mother-of-four was disinvited from the December nuptials

In an interview with The Sun, the chef responded to the accusations levelled by the Peaty family: “I think when you send personal chauffeur cars up to Nottingham to invite this incredible family down to enjoy their party – by the way, Holly and Adam were hosting that party, Caroline and Mark [Adam’s dad], Tana and I were guests – appalling to even suggest there was any bullying,” he insisted. “That’s absolute nonsense.”
