Ana de Armas has an edgy new look for her role in the highly anticipated movie ‘Ballerina.’ The Cuban-Spanish star is showing a different side of herself for the action-packed project, where she will be seeking revenge following the death of her family.
Directed by Len Wiseman, the story serves as a spin-off for Keanu Reeves‘ John Wick, but her character has a different perspective, as we can tell from her back tattoos. Ana showed off her heavily tattooed back in a new poster for the movie, revealing the phrase ‘Lux In Tenebris’
The phrase translates to ‘Light In Darkness’ and is written above a large design of an angel. Keanu’s character also has a similar tattoo that translates to “fortune favors the bold,” leaving many to believe they have a different approach in their storyline.
© LIONSGATEThe actress worked with Keanu and revealed that it was an inspiring moment in her career while working on the movie. “Keanu is doing it all, too, so I can’t complain!” she told Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show. “I’m sore, I’m bruised, but I’m pushing through,” she said about the preparation for the role, which included kickboxing and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
