It might be February, but Apple Martin looks like summertime fine! The 21-year-old model took to her Instagram story on Monday to share a fiery picture posing in her bikini by the pool.
In the pic, the daughter of Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin showed off her posing skills, raising one hand in the air, looking carefree with a laid-back ponytail and sunglasses. She looked serene with a blue pool behind her and some potted plants.
Apple is currently studying at Vanderbiltin Nashville, Tennessee, which hit a high of 70 over the weekend, so it could have been taken there, or back in Los Angeles if she was visiting her family.
Apple Martin’s dreams of acting
Her bikini moment comes after her first spread for Vogue as a model, where she revealed her dream is to follow in her mom Gwyneth’s footsteps as an actor. “I love dancing, and I love acting,” she told the outlet. “My dream is to act.”
But that doesn’t mean she doesn’t have her dad’s skills either. She likes to sing and musical theater, but she made it clear, “I don’t wanna be a singer,” saying, “getting onstage by yourself to sing is so terrifying.”
She’s getting experience as a director, too. She said a student cornered her on campus, saying they heard she was “a secret theater kid.” Now she’s directing a play, “[I] love it more than anything,” she said. The directing bug is something she probably got from her grandpa, Bruce Paltrow, who was an American television and film director and producer before he passed away in 2022 at the age of 58.
Apple’s red carpet debut
Apple has been diving more into the spotlight, making her first red carpet debut at the New York premiere of Timothee Chalamet and her mom’s Marty Supreme.
She wore a black Calvin Klein Collection tank dress that Gwyneth wore to the 1996 premiere of Emma. She called it “the scariest thing in the entire world,” but admitted, “I’ve never felt more awesome in my life.”
While we will have to wait and see if we see Apple walk down the carpet for her own premiere one day, for now, she’s dedicated to school and is in her final stretch, set to graduate with a degree in law, history, and society in May.
She had plans to go to law school after, but it looks like those plans have changed. “I was in that rebellious, ‘I don’t wanna be like my parents’ type of phase,” she admitted. Now she has her eyes set on acting. She’s also been using her platform; on Tuesday, she reposted a reel to her stories, speaking out against ICE.
