Angelina Jolie is inspiring some headlines. The beloved actress, 50, has been photographed with her “Couture” co-star Louis Garrel, 42, with some believing that the two have developed a close relationship.
Jolie and Garrel played lovers in the film “Couture,” which came out last year in Toronto International Film Festival, and was written and directed by Alice Winocour.
In the film, Jolie plays a woman who works in fashion, receiving a terrifying medical diagnosis in the midst of a divorce.
According to new reports, Jolie and Garrell were spotted grabbing some dinner. Still, outlets have made it clear that the two are not dating.
“They’ve only broken bread as friends, and that’s where their relationship stands,” reports TMZ earlier this month. The outlet claims that the two “are good friends who have friends in common.”
Garrell is married to Laetitia Casta, marrying her in 2017. Sources that spoke to TMZ also made it clear that Jolie “remains single and she’s only focused on her kids and her work.”
Jolie and Brad Pitt were involved in a lengthy divorce, with her filing for it in 2016, and the two being declared legally single in 2019. The couple reached a final settlement in December 2024.
Maddox’s decision to stand by his mom
Last month, Maddox Jolie Pitt, Jolie and Pitt’s son, embraced a new name. The 24-year-old worked alongside his mother in “Couture,” serving as one of the film’s assistant directors.
On the film’s end credits, he was listed as Maddox Jolie, following the trend of the majority of his siblings, who’ve also decided to drop their father’s surname.
Jolie and Pitt share six kids: Maddox, Pax, 22, Zahara, 21, Shiloh, 19, and 17-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne.
While the kids and parents haven’t addressed these issues publicly, it’s assumed that these decisions have been made since Jolie and Pitt’s divorce. “He’s aware that Shiloh dropped his last name,” said a source to PEOPLE. “The reminders that he’s lost his children, is of course not easy for Brad. He loves his children and misses them.”
