Following in his famous dad Arnold Schwarzenegger’s footsteps,  Joe Baena is preparing for his first bodybuilding show. The 28-year-old and his mustache have been locked in doing what he needs to do to reach his goal weight.

Joe has been eating the same two meals for weeks

On Wednesday, he shared a look into his process, showing followers how to make one of the two meals he said he’s really only been eating for the last couple of weeks ahead of the show. It’s a classic – chicken and rice. He also shared a look into his music tastes, revealing he’s a Luis Miguel fan, setting the video to the Mexican singer’s famous, “Ahora Te Puedes Marchar.”

Joe rocked short shorts similar to what Arnold would wear in the late 60s and 70s as he got down in the kitchen. His chicken looks well-seasoned, juicy, and flavorful, likely making his ancestors proud. He ate it with rice, roasted asparagus, and a somewhat sad salad with olive oil and mustard.

But it’s not just the work he’s doing in the kitchen that is helping him before the show. His dad, Arnold, has been in the gym with him. This week, Joe posted a gallery of photos of them with the Terminator star looking like his coach while he pumped some iron.

His caption was something we can all hear the 78-year-old living legend saying, “You have to shock the muscles!”

Whatever he’s doing is working. He started the week with a gallery, hitting some poses and lifting weights, and he looks jacked.

Jose’s Latinidad

Joe’s choice to set the video to the Mexican singer had people stoked in the comments. “Everything tastes better with LUIS MIGUEL,” one person wrote, “Luis Miguel ftw!” added another. Joe’s mom, Mildred Baena, is Guatemalan, and Joseph has opened up in the past about his roots.

In 2023, he posted a TikTok video for Hispanic Heritage Month, sharing fun facts about Central American and Latino countries. He also showed off his Spanish at the end of the video, revealing that he is fluent.
