Douglas Booth is taking centre stage in ITV’s new crime thriller, The Blame. The 34-year-old actor stars opposite Michelle Keegan in the six-part series, which follows a police duo as they investigate the murder of a 16-year-old in the quiet town of Wakestead.

Douglas, who hails from Greenwich in London, has been a regular fixture on our screens since his breakout role in the Boy George biographical drama, Worried About the Boy, in 2010. Since then, he’s starred in a string of major TV shows and films, including the 2013 drama Romeo & Juliet, 2014’s The Riot Club and Netflix‘s The Sandman.

But did you know that Douglas’ other half is also a famous face? Keep reading to find out more about his life off-screen.

The actors said ‘I do’ beneath the chuppah cloth canopy, a Jewish tradition, made by Douglas’ artist sister, Abigail. “I’m Jewish, and although I’m not religious, I wanted to honour my heritage,” Bel previously told Vogue.

For the reception, the couple celebrated with a ’90s dance party featuring strobes and lasers, and a Guinness-flavoured three-tier wedding cake.

How did Douglas and Bel meet?

The pair first met at a chemistry read, three years before co-starring in the 2017 biopic Mary Shelley.

“I was so excited. Doug was really famous, and I remember telling my girlfriends,” Bel told Hollywood Authentic in 2025. “In the scene, they kissed, and I was like, ‘Should we just do it for real?’ And we kissed in the audition. Doug didn’t get the part, and I got the part.”

Douglas and Bel are based in East London in a house they purchased together and moved into during lockdown.
