Ashley St. Clair is done keeping quiet and is not afraid to spill. In a jaw-dropping interview with The Wall Street Journal, the 26-year-old influencer and commentator claimed she rejected a multimillion-dollar hush deal from Elon Musk to keep their baby’s paternity under wraps.
Ashley said she didn’t want her now 7-month-old son “to feel like he’s a secret.”
A $15 Million Offer With a Catch
Per St. Clair, Elon Musk, 53, offered her a cool $15 million upfront and an additional $100K monthly until their son turned 21. But here’s the kicker: it all came with strings attached. The deal reportedly included a strict nondisclosure agreement that barred her from talking about Musk, even while allowing him to say whatever he wanted about her.
And the kicker of the kicker was that if she ever broke the silence, she’d have to give that money back.
Meet Romulus
St. Clair also revealed their baby boy’s name for the first time: Romulus St. Clair. Romulus, referred to as “R.S.C.” in court documents, was born in September 2024, five months before St. Clair filed a paternity suit against Musk, asking for sole custody.
She says the offer came via Musk’s longtime right-hand man, Jared Birchall, who’s apparently the go-to guy for quietly tying up the billionaire’s loose ends. Birchall allegedly approached St. Clair right after the birth and encouraged her to stay silent. She says the offer didn’t include basics like child health protections, security, or a trust fund in case Musk died.
A Pregnancy in Hiding
St. Clair told WSJ that during her pregnancy, she played along with Musk’s wishes, at least for a while. She says she stayed inside to keep the relationship hush-hush and was sent $2 million from Musk for expenses. Half of that, she claimed, was a loan.
She also shared that Romulus was conceived in January 2024 while Musk vacationed in St. Barts. According to her, they had talked about kids before, and Musk even asked her to “pick a name” the first time they slept together.
When she told him she was ovulating, he allegedly said, “What are we waiting for?” Spoiler: they didn’t wait.
No Secrets, No C-Section
St. Clair claims Musk also urged her to have a C-section, citing a bizarre theory that it helps with brain size. (This is not a thing.) She declined. Since the baby was born, things have gone into full drama mode. St. Clair sued for paternity. Musk allegedly cut her child support way down after the suit, and he even started questioning whether the baby was his.
But according to WSJ, Labcorp’s results are in, and the DNA test says there’s a “99.9999%” chance Romulus belongs to Musk.
Ashley St. Clair says she could’ve cashed out but chose not to. “Taking hush money always leads to a worse outcome for that woman than what it would have been otherwise,” she told WSJ.
Musk’s Ever-Growing Brood
If you’ve lost count of Elon’s offspring, don’t worry, you’re not alone. Romulus would make at least baby #14 for the tech titan. Musk’s kid count includes six, including twins and triplets, with ex-wife Justine Wilson.
Three children with Grimes. There are at least three more with Neuralink executive Shivon Zilis.
One of his daughters, Vivian, is publicly estranged from him and recently called him a “pathetic man-child.”
