Bad Bunny’s second night in Argentina wasn’t just another sold-out show. It turned into a full on throwback moment. At Estadio Monumental, in front of a packed crowd for his DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS World Tour, the Puerto Rican star shocked fans by bringing Cazzu out onstage. The stadium basically exploded. Equal parts hometown pride, nostalgia, and wait, is this really happening.
Coming off a historic Grammy win and his Super Bowl LX performance, the Conejo Malo was back in Argentina for the first time in nearly four years, and fans were already losing their minds. With three dates, February 13, 14, and 15, completely sold out, expectations were high. Still, nobody had a surprise guest reunion on their Valentine’s Day bingo card, especially with artists he worked with almost a decade ago.
Night one had no guests, but night two was a different story. Bad Bunny shared the spotlight with Cazzu, Duki, and Khea, giving them their flowers as part of his earliest connections to Argentina’s trap scene. Back in 2017, he jumped on the remix of Loca, a track the trio had dropped shortly before, and that collab ended up feeling like a major early moment for the whole Latin urban wave.
The crowd screamed every lyric, but the loudest moment was when Cazzu and Bad Bunny hugged onstage, an instant callback to their old, blink and you missed it romance that fans have never totally let go of.
The Cazzu and Benito backstory
In a 2021 interview with Telefe, Cazzu, born Julieta Cazzuchelli, shared details about a date she once had with Benito, back when he was basically pre-superstar Bad Bunny.
“I went on a date with Bad Bunny, but it didn’t go badly; it actually went pretty well. It was the other Bad Bunny. Today, I don’t even remember his voice. We were much younger. He wasn’t the Bad Bunny he is now. Like I’m telling you, I don’t know if we even remember each other. I do remember that we jumped the fence of a park that was closed. He wanted to go into a park, but didn’t understand why parks close in Argentina. It was in the Palermo Woods. A security guard kicked us out. We actually had to run.”
Back at River Plate, Cazzu also performed La Otra, a song Bad Bunny had previously given her. She told the crowd to sing along, and they did, loud, right from the first chords.
At the end of the day, it wasn’t just a guest spot. It was one of those wow, we’ve really come a long way moments, two careers that grew up side by side, crossing paths again for one night, in front of thousands of people.
