Bad Bunny has fans all over the world, but those in the United States were surprised to find out his next tour won’t be stopping in North America.

Following the release of his latest project, Debí Tirar Más Fotos, the Puerto Rican star unveiled show dates for Latin America, Europe, Australia and Japan. Set to kick off in November in the Dominican Republic, Benito will tour the world in support of the project, wrapping this year’s dates in Mexico City before resuming in January in Colombia. He will go on to make his way through Chile, Argentina, Brazil, Australia, Spain, Portugal and Italy, to name a few countries.

The stadium tour “will bring [Debí Tirar Más Fotos] to life, fully immersing audiences in its world, celebrating the essence and culture of Bad Bunny’s Puerto Rican heritage,” according to a Live Nation press release. The tour marks Bad Bunny’s return to Europe for the first time since 2019, and will be his first time performing in Australia, Brazil and Japan.

Making his way all over the world, fans in the US were confused to see that Benito would not be returning to stadiums he had toured in the past, such as SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, CA, or Yankee Stadium in New York City. A lot of people immediately jumped to the possibility of Bad Bunny making a political statement, but the singer kept silent–until now.

In an interview with Variety, the Puerto Rico native said that touring the continental United States is simply “unnecessary.”

Though fans in the US are disappointed, Bad Bunny was quick to point out that they have had “no shortage of opportunities to see him perform” over the past six years, including his 45-date Most Wanted Tour throughout North America in 2024.

He has the same thought process when presented with the idea of a concert film for U.S. audiences, reportedly stating it was “unnecessary” as well.
