Although I might not be one for sports fixtures, much to the dismay of my sports-centric Husband, there is one sports fixture on the global calendar that keeps me hooked year after year: The Super Bowl.
This year, the New England Patriots are taking on the Seattle Seahawks at the Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California. And although I can’t tell you odds of the game, who’s most likely to win, or evening more embarrassingly any of the players at all, what I can tell you is there’s going to be one hell of a half-time performance.
This year Puerto Rican music superstar Bad Bunny will be taking to the stage, following in the footsteps of Kendrick Lamar, Beyoncé, Lady Gaga, Rhianna and Michael Jackson to name a few. It’s set that 2026 will be one to remember.
This year, Bad Bunny has continued to break records. The singer, whose name is Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, was ranked as one of the world’s top streaming artists by Spotify with over 19.8 billion in 2025 alone. He is a four-time Spotify Global Top Artist and has accumulated over 100 million album sales. Known for blending reggaeton and Latin trap, the singer spoke out about his upcoming performance this week, saying, “You only need to worry about dancing.” So yeah, I think I can get on board with this sports fixture.
“You only need to worry about dancing…”
As a fashion fan, though, Benito cannot be mentioned without his transcendence into the fashion industry during his musical career. The singer constantly challenges gender norms whilst blending ultra-high fashion with a street style flair, alongside bringing his own Puerto Rican culture into his looks.
So much so he’s almost been adopted into the fashion industry, in May 2024 Bad Bunny was an official co-chair of the 2024 Met Gala alongside Vogue‘s Global Editorial Director Anna Wintour, in June 2024 he surprised fashion fans with a live performance of Monaco, Vou 787, and Tití Me Preguntó during Vogue World: Paris and when he isn’t taking part in some of fashion’s biggest global events he’ll be found front row at shows across the world from Calvin Klein in New York to Gucci in Milan.
The singer has also been massively influential to fashion brands and marketers, starring in global campaigns for Jacquemus and Calvin Klein – the latter generated an estimated $8.4 million in Media Impact Value in less than 48 hours.
So from one fashion fan to another, take it from me: It’s clear Benito is a major fashion and cultural influence of our times, and with his Super Bowl performance set for Sunday, we’ve rounded up our favourite and most iconic looks of Bad Bunny throughout the years to look back on.
