Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner are keeping their family tradition alive. The pair reunited to celebrate their son Samuel’s 14th birthday, hosting a paintball party for the second year in a row.
In photos captured over the weekend, Affleck and Garner were seen at a paintball park in California, accompanied by Samuel and his friends. They both looked sporty and comfortable for the occasion, with Affleck wearing dark jeans, a white t-shirt, a jacket, and a camo vest. He completed the look with some sunglasses and was seen carrying his gear.
In the case of Garner, she wore a white tank top paired with light denim jeans, a blue cap, and some sunglasses. She held her hair back in a loose pony and was also carrying some of her paintball gear. They were trailed by Samuel and two of his friends.
Affleck and Garner were also photographed inside their vehicle, with Affleck in the driver’s seat. This marks the second year in a row that the couple celebrates Samuel’s birthday with a paintball party; last year, they made headlines with some photos showing them playfully holding on to each other on the paintball fields.

Recently, Garner opened up about the challenges and strengths of raising kids in two separate households
“I think that I do a bit of both. And I think my kids’ dad does too. Especially when your kids grow up in two separate households — I become mom and dad and he becomes mom and dad,” she said in an appearance on Bustle’s YouTube program “One Nightstand.”

“There’s a little bit of loss in that, but there’s also something gained in that,” she continued. “You also just learn. It’s made me let go and not focus so much on bringing up.”
Garner and Affleck split up in 2015, after being together for 10 years. The pair finalized their divorce three years later, yet remains close, often photographed together and spending time with their kids in Los Angeles, where they’re based. They share three kids: Violet, 20, Fin, 17, and Samuel.
