Bianca Censori is opening up about her marriage to Kanye West and the challenges they’ve faced behind closed doors.
In her first in-depth interview about their relationship, the architect spoke candidly about how her husband’s mental health struggles and bipolar disorder have affected their marriage. Bianca, who married West in 2022 following his divorce from Kim Kardashian, reflected on the emotional toll of the past year in an interview with Vanity Fair published on Feb. 6.
“All I can do is always just be there and help,” Bianca said through tears. “This year was a lot like doing CPR for months.”
She explained that she made the decision to stay by Kanye’s side as they worked through his bipolar diagnosis, the backlash surrounding his antisemitic remarks — which he has since apologized for — and the personal statements he publicly shared about their relationship.
“I have the love and empathy for him to be able to do that,” the 31-year-old said. “And I understand that the world doesn’t.”
Bianca also revealed that there was a time when she questioned whether she should continue the relationship after experiencing what she described as “surface level” emotions. Still, she ultimately chose to remain committed and support him.
“You know, he has to go through his process in how he amends that,” she shared. “And I’m here to support and love and be with him. I love him so much. We’re like the same person.”
She went on to address speculation that she is only with the Grammy-winning artist for fame or status, insisting that their bond is genuine.
“I didn’t marry my husband because I wanted some sort of platform,” she told Vanity Fair. “I married him because I love him. Is that like the corniest thing ever?”
Looking back on how their relationship began, Bianca recalled that working together at Yeezy played a major role in bringing them closer.
“Just working together,” she noted. “You’re spending so much time with somebody. So we’d be either on the phone together or with each other all the time.”
She added, “We’re so similar.”
When discussing the future, Bianca shared that she hopes to have children with West one day. The rapper is already a father to North, 12, Saint, 10, Chicago, 7, and Psalm, 6, whom he shares with Kim Kardashian.
In the meantime, she expressed admiration for the way Kanye connects with his kids.
“He’s a really awesome dad,” she said. “He’s fun and will do things like almost build worlds for them. I remember one time they came over and he made the whole room foam so they could jump on everything…. It’s really cute, especially if you’re a little kid—a tiny, short little bub.”
