Bond girl Jacqueline Bisset is celebrating her 82nd birthday – and the Hollywood icon looks as glamorous as ever.

The British actress, who entered the Bond universe as the memorably named Miss Goodthighs in the 1967 James Bond spoof Casino Royale, turns 82 on Sunday, September 13 2026. Born in Surrey in 1944, Jacqueline has enjoyed an extraordinary career spanning more than six decades.

And judging by one of her most recent red-carpet appearances, the veteran star has lost none of the elegance that made her one of cinema’s most recognizable beauties.

Jacqueline looked radiant when she attended the opening night of Filming Italy Los Angeles in February 2026, stepping out in an elegant cream silk suit with her brunette hair worn loose around her shoulders.

It came just months after Jacqueline was honored with the Stella della Mole award at the Torino Film Festival in Italy, celebrating her remarkable contribution to cinema.

Bond beginnings

Jacqueline was still in the early stages of her acting career when she landed the role of Miss Goodthighs in Casino Royale.

The 1967 movie was a comedic take on Ian Fleming’s famous spy and featured an extraordinary ensemble cast including David Niven, Peter Sellers, Ursula Andress, Orson Welles and Woody Allen.

Jacqueline’s character was a glamorous SMERSH agent who attempts to seduce and kill Evelyn Tremble, played by Peter Sellers. She was credited at the time as Jacky Bisset.

The role helped introduce her to international audiences, but much bigger parts soon followed.

The following year, Jacqueline appeared opposite Frank Sinatra in The Detective and Steve McQueen in Bullitt, while her performance in The Sweet Ride earned her her first Golden Globe nomination.

She went on to become one of the defining screen stars of the 1970s, appearing in movies including Airport, Murder on the Orient Express, François Truffaut’s Oscar-winning Day for Night and The Deep opposite Nick Nolte.

Her turn in the latter – and particularly the now-iconic scenes featuring Jacqueline swimming in a white T-shirt – helped cement her status as one of Hollywood’s great screen beauties.

Six decades on screen

But Jacqueline’s career has always been about far more than her appearance. Across the decades she has worked with everyone from Paul Newman and Anthony Quinn to Albert Finney, Candice Bergen and Rob Lowe, earning five Golden Globe nominations in total.

In 2014, at the age of 69, she finally took home her first Golden Globe for her performance in the BBC drama Dancing on the Edge.

She was also awarded France’s Legion of Honour in 2010, while her latest accolade at the Torino Film Festival recognized a career that has now stretched across seven decades.

Jacqueline has nothing but praise for her goddaughter

Away from Hollywood, Jacqueline also has a surprising connection to another famous actress: Angelina Jolie.

Jacqueline is Angelina’s godmother after becoming close friends with her mother, Marcheline Bertrand, in the early 1970s. She previously recalled meeting Marcheline while working on a movie with Angelina’s father, Jon Voight, before being asked to take on the special role.

Now 82, Jacqueline continues to make public appearances and remains involved in the industry that made her a star – more than half a century after she first joined the world of James Bond.
