Brad Pitt is clearing the air. The beloved actor has finally addressed his divorce from Angelina Jolie, a process that took eight years and involved multiple court appearances and complicated paperwork.
In an interview with GQ, Pitt discussed his upcoming movie “F1,” his relationship with his girlfriend Ines de Ramon, and the finalization of his long divorce. When asked if he felt a sense of relief after the divorce was over, Pitt replied nonchalantly.
“No, I don’t think it was that major of a thing. Just something coming to fruition. Legally,” he said.
© GettyImagesDaniel Riley, who interviewed Pitt and wrote the feature, noted that Pitt and de Ramon made their first public appearance at an F1 race. He asked them if the appearance was intentional, something that made Pitt laugh.
“No, dude, it’s not that calculated,” said Pitt. “If you’re living, oh my God, how exhausting would that be? If you’re living with making those kinds of calculations? No, life just evolves. Relationships evolve.”

“More than eight years ago, Angelina filed for divorce from Mr. Pitt. She and the children left all of the properties they had shared with Mr. Pitt, and since that time she has focused on finding peace and healing for their family,” said Jolie’s lawyer James Simon in a statement.
“This is just one part of a long ongoing process that started eight years ago. Frankly, Angelina is exhausted, but she is relieved this one part is over.”
They were declared legally single in 2019, and were battling over issues like custody of their kids, and the ownership of the French winery estate they owned, called Miraval. They share six children: Maddox, Zahara, Shiloh, Pax, Vivienne, and Knox.
