Britney Spears is back on Instagram and giving fans a glimpse into her life after her recent DUI arrest, this time with her son Jayden by her side.
The pop star posted a couple of videos on Friday, marking her first time sharing anything since the March 4 incident. In the clips, she’s clearly in a playful mood, joking around with her 19-year-old son as they snap mirror selfies together.
At one point, Spears looks into the camera and says, “I am composure. I am being very composed!”
Seconds later, she jumps up and down and playfully taps Jayden on the head, prompting him to react with, “Ow!”
She captioned the first video with a message of gratitude, writing, “Thank you guys for all your support… spending time with family and friends is such a blessing!” followed by a string of rose emojis.
The second clip shows the two continuing to mess around and take photos. During that video, Jayden, wearing a white hat, jokes, “I wish I could be like Michael,” seemingly giving a nod to Michael Jackson.
Spears kept the caption simple on that one, writing: “Stay kind.”
The posts come shortly after Spears’ arrest earlier this month. On March 4, she was taken into custody in Ventura, California, on suspicion of DUI and released the next morning, according to the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office.
Her case is still being looked at by prosecutors.
A spokesperson for the Ventura County District Attorney’s Office told the California Post: “The DUI case against Britney Spears has been submitted to the Ventura County District Attorney’s Office and is under review by our prosecutors.”
The statement continued, “Part of that review might include seeking additional information and evidence. A filing decision will be made before the scheduled May 4, 2026, court date.”
In the meantime, it sounds like she’s leaning on family. A source close to Spears told Page Six that her sons, Jayden and Sean, 20, whom she shares with ex-husband Kevin Federline, have been supporting her through it all.
Jayden’s Mercedes, which Spears reportedly gifted him last year, was even seen parked outside her home the day after she got out of jail.
“Her sons are with her right now. They love her and want to support her and just want her to feel better,” the insider expressed.
Another source told the outlet that Spears is struggling emotionally after the arrest.
“Britney knows she has to face the consequences whatever they may be,” the insider detailed, adding that people close to her are “just praying it is rehab and not jail.”
That same source said she’s “devastated” and that the situation “has scared the crap out of her.”
Spears was also spotted out in public for the first time since the incident on March 23 in Malibu. According to a photo shared by fan account BritneysVault, the Grammy winner kept things low-key while waiting in line at Starbucks inside the Malibu Country Mart, dressed in a brown coat and black sunglasses, with her phone in hand and a large orange bag.
Before the arrest, Spears had reportedly been seen driving erratically after a night out with a friend.
Her manager, Cade Hudson, later addressed the situation in a statement to Page Six, calling the incident “inexcusable.”
“This was an unfortunate incident that is completely inexcusable. Britney is going to take the right steps and comply with the law and hopefully this can be the first step in long overdue change that needs to occur in Britney’s life,” the statement read. “Hopefully, she can get the help and support she needs during this difficult time.”
Hudson also emphasized that she won’t be going through it alone.
“Her boys are going to be spending time with her. Her loved ones are going to come up with an overdue needed plan to set her up for success for well being.”
