For Britney Spears, this Christmas truly lived up to the hype.
After her ex-husband Kevin Federline recently shared that their sons Sean Preston Federline, 20, and Jayden James Federline, 19, were “trying to find a way to mend a bond” with their mother, Britney spent the holiday with Jayden, a source confirms to E! News.
Sean, on the other hand, appeared in a series of Christmas photos posted by his aunt Jamie Lynn Spears, revealing that he celebrated in Louisiana with his mom’s younger sister, Jamie Lynn’s husband Jamie Watson, cousins Maddie, 17, and Ivey, 6, and grandmother Lynne Spears.
Britney’s time with her boys became limited after they relocated to Hawaii with their dad in 2023, but this marks the second consecutive Christmas she’s shared with Jayden, who has since moved back to Los Angeles to focus on his music career.
“I hadn’t seen him in 2 and half years or maybe 3 !!!” the 44-year-old wrote alongside a photo from their reunion last Dec. 31. “I’m in shock !!! He came back and he feels older and smarter than me !!!”
“He’s a man,” she continued, “and I cry everyday of my life because of the miracle and genius he is !!! When he plays the whole earth shakes !!!”
© GettyThe two also spent time together in June — “Went to church today !!! Sang and praised !!!,” Britney captioned that post — though their relationship later became a topic of speculation following the November release of Federline’s memoir, You Thought You Knew.
“They absolutely love their mom, right? I mean, they always, always have, always will,” said Federline, whom Britney filed to divorce in November 2006 after two years of marriage, during an appearance on Talk Shop Live. “It’s instilled in them. And I’ve always wanted for them to have a connection with their mom, the way I have with my mom.”
“I know that a lot of people think that this book hurts that situation, but we’ve done everything else,” he added. “We’ve tried every single thing. And when you’re dealing with a situation like this, if I have to be the bad guy and everybody has to hate me, well, so be it. I’ll do that for my kids to be able to have a relationship with their mother.”
Beyond Sean and Jayden, Federline also shares daughter Kori Madison Federline, 23, and son Kaleb Michael Jackson Federline, 21, with ex Shar Jackson, as well as daughters Jordan Kay Federline, 14, and Peyton Marie Federline, 11, with his wife Victoria Prince.
