Britney Spears has the support of her son. Earlier this week, Jayden Federline, Spears’ youngest son, was spotted visiting her in her home in Los Angeles following a DUI she received earlier this month. The 19-year-old was also spotted driving his mom’s Mercedes convertible.
Paparazzi captured Federline driving Spears’ grey Mercedes, as he drove away from her mansion in Thousand Oaks, California. According to different outlets, Federline was spotted several times near her home over the weekend, suggesting that he was visiting her consistently.
The photos continue to show progress in their relationship, which had been marked by instability as early as last year, when Spears’ ex-husband and father of her kids, Kevin Federline, published a memoir where he discussed the poor relationship he had with Spears.
Over the past year, Spears has discussed her relationship with Jayden, revealing that he’s interested in pursuing music and that she’s helping him get started in the business. The two shared photos of their Christmas together.
It’s unknown if Spears is in touch with her eldest son, Sean Preston.
More details about Britney’s DUI
Earlier this month, Spears was arrested on suspicion of a DUI. According to police reports, she handcuffed and taken in by the police at around 9:30 PM, with her booked at around 3 AM the following morning.
She was released shortly after and is expected in court on May 4th. The episode prompted her to delete her Instagram.
“This was an unfortunate incident that is completely inexcusable,” said Spears’ representative in a statement, as reported by Page Six. “Britney is going to take the right steps and comply with the law and hopefully this can be the first step in long-overdue change that needs to occur in Britney’s life.”
According to the police department, they will not be releasing the mugshot of Spears’ arrest. “It is our practice to release booking photos for violent crimes or when an individual is an immediate threat to the public,” said the California sheriff’s office official to US Weekly. “The charges being brought against Brittany Spears does not warrant release in accordance with our policy.”
