Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz Beckham are making the film festival circuit the ultimate European date night. Just days after stepping onto the red carpet together in Venice, the couple went to France for another high-profile festival appearance.
On Tuesday, September 8, the young couple attended the 52nd Deauville American Film Festival in France, with Brooklyn kissing and embracing Nicola as they posed for photographers.
Nicola wore a romantic white, ruffled gown with a halter neckline and sweeping train, while Brooklyn rocked a sleek black suit, letting Nicole’s dramatic dress take center stage.
They also walked the carpet alongside her Prima co-star Faye Dunaway, who received the Deauville Icon Award.
The pair star in the upcoming film, with Nicola playing a ballerina and Dunaway portraying her grandmother and ballet mentor.
Earlier in Deauville, Nicola also joined Dunaway for a photocall, keeping the fashion momentum going as the pair promoted the film.
Prima has given Nicola an especially buzzy moment on the festival circuit, putting her alongside one of Hollywood’s most recognizable leading ladies.
Through it all, Brooklyn has remained firmly by Nicola’s side. The couple first turned heads at the 83rd Venice International Film Festival on Sept. 5, where Nicola was honored with the Kinéo Rising Star Award for her work as an actress, producer, and filmmaker.
She arrived on the red carpet in a dramatic violet Balenciaga gown with an illusion cutout design, while Brooklyn kept things classic in a black suit and white shirt, finishing his look with tinted glasses.
Despite all the drama surrounding them, the couple looked every bit the supportive Hollywood pair, posing together, sharing kisses and staying close as photographers captured them throughout the night.
But while the fashion has been getting plenty of attention, there is another reason these appearances are notable.
Brooklyn and Nicola have continued to present a united front while remaining estranged from much of Brooklyn’s immediate family.
The once picture-perfect Beckham family has spent the past year dealing with a very public rift between Brooklyn and his parents, David and Victoria Beckham.
Brooklyn addressed the situation directly in January, saying that he did not want to reconcile with his family and accusing his parents of attempting to interfere with his marriage to Nicola.
The fallout has continued to play out around major family milestones and social media, making Brooklyn and Nicola’s very public togetherness all the more noticeable.
Whatever is happening behind the scenes within the larger Beckham family, the message from Brooklyn and Nicola themselves has been pretty consistent – they’re choosing each other.
