Brooklyn Beckham has made it clear he doesn’t want to reconcile with his family amid what has been a dramatic and heartbreaking fallout between him, his parents, and his siblings. While he can’t erase the DNA he shares with them, it appears he’s doing what he can to remove them from his skin. The 26-year-old is covered with over 100 tattoos, and while at least 70 are dedicated to his wife, Nicola, there were a few for his parents.
Brooklyn has a tattoo on his right arm of an anchor that says “DAD” in the middle. However, in photos published by the Sun, it looks like it’s in the middle of a laser removal. The process is long and painful, and scabs up with blisters.
An insider told the outlet he had “laser treatment on the writing,” noting, “He wanted it gone.” Below the anchor were the words, “Love you, Bust,” which was the nickname given to him by his father. Although the writing is still there, it appears to be faded.
David has his own tattoo dedicated to Brooklyn, with his nickname “Buster” on his neck. He showed off the ink in 2015 on Instagram, writing in the caption, “I’ve always called Brooklyn ( Buster ) since the day he was born…. Love you, Bust.”
The latest tattoo removal comes months after Brooklyn modified his “mama’s boy” tattoo on his chest. Brooklyn posed shirtless for Glamour in April, and the photos showed the script now surrounded by flowers. As noted by Page Six, they may be modeled after his wife’s bouquet from her wedding.
He had another “Mum” tattoo on his shoulder that he debuted in 2018. Victoria shared a proud picture posing with the heart and flower combo at the time, but now it looks like a snake is going through it.
An insider told The Sun, “To see Brooklyn covering up Victoria’s tattoo, and now the one he had for his dad, will sting.” “It seems very cruel and will add salt to the wounds,” they added.
Of course, it all comes after the 26-year-old blew the top off the family feud with a scathing statement accusing his parents of trying to sabotage the relationship, and his mom dancing inappropriately on him at the wedding.
While Brooklyn made it clear he does not want to reconcile, a source told PEOPLE the famous couple still wants their son back. “David and Victoria love Brooklyn and are afraid of losing their son,” the insider said. “They would take him back in a minute.”
