Baywatch ran from 1988 to 2001 and was the most-watched show in the world at one point. The series followed David Hasselhoff as Mitch Buchannon, alongside Pamela Anderson, Carmen Electra, Donna D’Errico and Nicole Eggert.
The reboot will follow Stephen as Mitch’s son Hobie, who is heading the new generation of lifeguards in California. “The wild child Hobie Buchannon we all loved from the original series is now a Baywatch captain, following in the footsteps of his legendary father, Mitch,” the synopsis reads.
“Hobie’s world is turned upside down when Charlie, the daughter he never knew, shows up on his doorstep, eager to carry on the Buchannon family legacy and become a Baywatch lifeguard alongside her dad.”
