It’s 2026, and the world might feel a little heavy, but music is always there for us. Get your playlist ready because this week was full of bangers to get your weekend started. From A-list names and rising stars, here are this week’s biggest releases.

Bruno Mars – I Just Might

Bruno Mars gets funky and taps into 1970s rhythms with the oh-so-delicious “I Just Might.” With congas, catchy guitar rifts, and his smooth vocals, the groovy track is a glimpse into what’s to come with his upcoming album, The Romantic, dropping on February 27th. With over 3M views on YouTube in less than 14 hours, it’s one of this year’s biggest releases so far.

GALE – Me Tiene

Gale starts 2026 with the breakup anthem titled “Me Tiene.” Reclaiming her power, the Puerto Rican is choosing herself. “Me Tiene is a sexy, fun song that celebrates that moment when you realize how good it feels to be with someone who truly loves you, takes care of you, and gives you your place,” GALE said in a press release. “From the very beginning, I knew I wanted it to feel intense and high‑energy. Musically, it lives in the world of synth pop and electro pop: it has a unique, urgent energy that just makes you dance. And yes, it’s also a direct message to that toxic ex, making it clear they’re part of the past.”

Xavi, Carin León – La Morrita

Xavi, one of the leading voices of Música Mexicana’s new generation, kicks off 2026 alongside Latin Grammy and Grammy winner Carín León with “La Morrita.” With Edgar Barrera producing the track, you know it’s going to be a banger. The high-energy huapango is a love song blending Mexican pride with a playful and fiery contemporary spin on an old-school sound.

Niko Rubio – Sunday Girl

The dreamy Mexican/Salvadoran-American singer-songwriter Niko Rubio enters her next era with “Sunday Girl.” The Spanglish track floats on guitar and drums with the artist saying in a press release, “I wrote ‘Sunday Girl’ when I was in love with someone who I knew could never love me back the way I needed them to.” “A Sunday girl is the girl who gets to meet the parents. The girl you dream of a future with. I knew I wasn’t that girl for this boy. But I kept loving him anyway. In a desperate plea, I wrote this song to get my frustrations and tears out at last. I wasn’t his Sunday girl, but I’m sure I’m someone else’s. Anyone can be a Sunday girl. It’s a state of mind.”

Stephen Sanchez – Sweet Love

Stephen Sanchez tries to put some love back into the world with “Sweet Love.” The song pays homage to the 1960s and feels like a blast from the past with his unique vocals and impressive range shining through. It comes with a music video starring his grandparents. “The love we receive is the love we give. Thank you to my grandparents for all of their sweet love,” he wrote on Instagram.

Junior H x Gael Valenzuela – MI GATA

Junior H starts the year in his feelings with “MI GATA,” a new single alongside Gael Valenzuela. With lyrics like “Ya no es mi domperi tampoco es mi gata,” the corrido leans into desire, absence, and the kind of heartbreak that lingers.

Coco & Breezy – Move & Flow

Afro-Boricua twins Coco & Breezy announce their debut EP with their new release, “Move & Flow.” The DJ’s will have you immediately swaying to the beat and ready to do just as the title suggests. As they say on the track, sometimes you just need to feel the beat and move your body.

Mike Bahía, Nanpa Básico –  ME GUSTAS

Mike Bahía and Nanpa Básico kick off 2026 with “Me Gustas,” a tropical, genre-blending track with reggae and afro beats leading the way. The romantic track is about finding someone you love unconditionally, as they list off all the things they love about them and the way they love them in return.

 Indira Paganotto – La Patrona

Spanish DJ and producer Indira Paganotto pushes her signature “psy-techno” sound forward with “Warriors.” Born in Madrid, she’s known for blending driving techno with psytrance energy, and the new track leans fully into that hypnotic, high-intensity dance world.

Lombardy – Sexify

Alternative rock band Lombardy drops “Sexify,” a high-voltage, raw energy track that feels like the 90s again. The group from Nashville channels gets explosive as they sing about a confident guy who knows how to be a respectful gentleman, but can be a bad boy when needed. Lombardy will hit the road in the new year in support of the release and their upcoming debut album.
