Cardi B just added “robot wrangler” to her résumé. On Feb. 7, the Grammy-winning rapper was stepping out of her hotel in San Francisco when she locked eyes with a silver humanoid robot stationed on the sidewalk. Instead of walking past it, she did what only Cardi would do. She danced.
Wearing a black and yellow skin-tight jumpsuit paired with sky-high stilettos, the “Up” hitmaker turned the random street sighting into an instant performance. In footage later shared by TMZ, Cardi jokingly declared, “Get away from my man,” before circling the robot and giving it a playful lap dance.
The crowd loved it. For about ten seconds. Then gravity entered the chat.
As Cardi continued to move around the silver humanoid, both she and the robot started to wobble. Within moments, they lost balance and toppled over together. The result? Cardi was on the pavement with a robot sprawled on top of her while stunned onlookers gasped before rushing in to help. It was chaotic. It was hilarious. It was very Cardi B.
From Sidewalk Antics to Social Media Drama
The clip quickly made its way to X after TMZ posted it. Cardi didn’t hesitate to respond. “Delete or I will sue …immediately,” she wrote in the comments. She even tagged TMZ founder Harvey Levin, adding that she was calling him directly.
Public falls are rarely glamorous, especially during Super Bowl weekend when cameras are everywhere. But this wasn’t just a random trip. It became one of the most talked-about celebrity viral moments leading into the big game.
Why Was Cardi B in San Francisco?
Cardi wasn’t in town by accident. She was there to support her ex-boyfriend, NFL star Stefon Diggs, after the New England Patriots clinched the conference championships on Jan. 25. The team headed to the 2026 Super Bowl, where they lost to the Seattle Seahawks at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California.
When the Patriots secured their spot, Cardi’s excitement was unfiltered. In a video shared by the NFL’s Instagram, she shouted, “We’re going to the Super Bowl. Oh my God.”
In a separate interview with NFL Network’s Cameron Wolfe, Cardi spoke openly about how proud she is of Diggs, especially after his return from an ACL injury. She described watching his recovery process from the early stages of running again to now, competing at the highest level. The couple shares a 3-month-old son.
Super Bowl LX and the Bad Bunny Casita
As if the robot tumble wasn’t enough drama, Cardi B also swirled in Super Bowl halftime show.
Bad Bunny headlined the Apple Music Super Bowl LX Halftime Show, and surprised fans with a Cardi B appearance. She joined Pedro Pascal, Karol G, Alix Earle, and Jessica Alba during the performance.
Super Bowl LX did not go the Patriots’ way. The Seahawks dominated the game, delivering a 29-13 defeat to New England. For Diggs, 32, who has spent 11 seasons in the NFL pursuing a championship, this loss marked another painful setback.
Cardi appeared to leave Levi’s Stadium early. Shortly after halftime, she posted a video from inside her car singing along to Bad Bunny. Fans immediately questioned why she left before the game concluded, prompting breakup rumors.
Cardi B and Stefon Diggs publicly confirmed their relationship in May 2025 when they attended an NBA playoff game together at Madison Square Garden. This pairing quickly became one of the most discussed celebrity-athlete romances.
As of now, neither Cardi nor Diggs has publicly addressed the breakup rumors.
