Carys Douglas is proving that her family’s love affair with Mallorca runs through generations.

The 23-year-old daughter of Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones stepped out alongside her famous father for the inaugural Mallorca, Land of Honour awards on August 3, turning the special father-daughter appearance into a celebration of a place that has been part of her life since childhood.

While Michael was honored as a Terra d’Honor ambassador in recognition of his longstanding connection to the Spanish island, Carys had her own standout moment when she spoke to local reporters in Spanish.

Asked whether Mallorca was a special place for her family, Carys didn’t hesitate. “This is our favorite place in the world, and yes, I’m excited to be here,” she said in Spanish.

When a reporter noted that her father had practically become a Mallorcan himself and suggested the same could be said about her, Carys agreed. “It’s true. Mallorca is a big part of my life. It’s a beautiful town,” she responded.

The connection is deeply personal. Michael has been returning to Mallorca for more than three decades and has long maintained a home on the island.

Carys and her older brother, Dylan Douglas, grew up spending summers there, making Mallorca much more than a celebrity vacation destination for the family.

For Carys, those childhood summers have left an enduring impression. Asked whether she had special memories of Mallorca, she sweetly replied, “All of my favorite memories are here in Mallorca.”

The conversation also turned to her father’s future on the island. When another reporter asked whether she could see Michael eventually living in Mallorca, Carys admitted it was possible, although the family’s life remains divided between Spain and the United States.

“Possibly. It’s difficult because my brother and I live in New York City, but now, whenever we can come, yes,” she said. Carys even poked fun at her Spanish as she searched for the right words during the interview.

“Sorry, it’s my first night, and in two or three weeks I’ll speak more,” she joked. “I need to speak more Spanish.” The candid exchange offered a rare glimpse at just how connected Carys feels to the island that has played such a significant role in her family’s life.

Carys Douglas embraces Mediterranean glamour in all black:

For the special evening, Carys delivered an effortlessly sophisticated fashion moment in a head-to-toe black ensemble.

She wore a fitted strapless black top that highlighted the clean, minimalist feel of the look, pairing it with coordinating wide-leg trousers finished with delicate lace detailing along the hem. Metallic strappy heels added a touch of evening glamour, while understated jewelry kept the attention on the sleek silhouette.

Her beauty look followed the same relaxed approach. Carys wore her long brunette hair parted down the middle and styled in glossy, cascading waves, allowing her natural texture and volume to frame her face.

She opted for luminous makeup with softly defined eyes, flushed cheeks and a rosy lip, creating the kind of understated beauty look perfectly suited to a summer night in Mallorca.

Standing alongside her father, Carys also created a subtle coordinated moment. Michael wore a navy suit with an open-collar light blue shirt, keeping things relaxed for the outdoor celebration.
