Chappell Roan goes makeup-free and shocks fans with an unrecognizable look

Chappell Roan, the 27-year-old singer and songwriter celebrated for her theatrical and iconic makeup and colorful performance looks, stunned her fans with a bare look. The singer took to social media to share a series of pics, where she appeared without her signature glitter, lashes, and bold eyeshadow, exposing her most natural self. 

Making a statement on authenticity, she declared, “I am actually normal”, sparking an outpouring of support and admiration from fans who applauded her vulnerability and confidence.

But the ‘Good Luck, Babe!’ star stripped back her look for a series of new Instagram selfies, with a clear message for fans.

She shared two selfies of her make-up-free top half, and another picture of herself and her long, fiery red locks while wearing a black bikini.

Chappell also posted a short clip of herself with her back to the camera while running her hands through her impressive tresses before turning around and pouting at the camera.

The ‘Pink Pony Club’ hitmaker’s post was a huge hit with her supporters, attracting more than 1.5 million likes at the time of writing.

Several stars took to the comments to praise Chappell for her hair. Rapper Ice Spice wrote: “hairrr [smiling face with heart-shaped eyes emoji] (sic)”

Influencer and rapper Aliyah’s Interlude posted: “my kween 💖💗💞🌸💕”

Australian model Emily Sears was also full of praise for the star. She wrote: “So prettyyyy”

Chappell’s latest post comes just days after the star warned fans she might have to “quit” music if supporters don’t respect her boundaries.

She said on the ‘Outlaws’ podcast: “When I started to say ‘Don’t talk to me like that’… that doesn’t mean I’m a villain or I’m ungrateful for what I have. It’s like, why is this customary? It’s so… abusive.”

“I thought it was really interesting reading something about how there’s so much love in apologies for people like Britney Spears and Paris Hilton and how people were so evil to them, and as a community, we need to apologize to them.”

“Absolutely, but also… that behaviour is still… people are still doing it. Do you want me to just get to the point where I become agoraphobic? Or so stressed out, or so anxious to perform? You want me to get to that point?”

She continued, “Because if I don’t say anything, I will. If I do not stand up for myself, I will quit because I cannot bear this. I cannot bear people touching me who I don’t know. I cannot bear people following me.”
