Jannik Sinner made history at the Monte Carlo Masters, one of the oldest tournaments in tennis, first held in 1897, defeating Carlos Alcaraz in the final to claim his 27th career ATP title. The 7–6, 6–3 victory underscored his authority and marked his return to the top of the rankings. The 24-year-old is back at world No. 1 after losing the spot to Alcaraz in September 2025.
The event once again drew some of the Principality’s most prominent figures. Among those in the stands were Charlene of Monaco, known for her refined style, Charlotte Casiraghi, and Alexandra of Hanover, joined by Prince Albert II of Monaco, a familiar presence at the tournament and a longtime tennis fan.
