Cher has once again sparked wedding rumors with her boyfriend, Alexander Edwards, after being photographed with what looked like the same giant diamond ring she sparked engagement rumors with in 2022, and a diamond band on that special finger. And to add to the story, it happened at her son Chaz Bono’s wedding ceremony on Monday.
The 79-year-old was photographed arriving at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel on Monday looking incredible in a black star-print zip-up hoodie layered over a muted red top, loose sparkly cargo-style pants, and chunky black sneakers.

This isnt the first time they’ve sparked engagement and wedding rumors. Back in 2022, Cher ignited speculation after posting a photo of a huge diamond ring gifted by AE. She captioned it, “THERE R NO WORDS, ALEXANDER, A.E.”
Fans immediately flooded the comments with congratulations. She even thanked one of them. An hour later, she reposted the image, joking that she shared it because “his nails are so cool,” but by then the engagement narrative had already taken off. Some believed it was a formal proposal. Others thought maybe it was a promise ring.
Then, more recently, in December, whispers surfaced that she was planning to walk down the aisle around her 80th birthday in May. A source claimed she had her “heart set” on marking the milestone with a wedding and saw it as the “perfect time” to seal the deal.

Of course, with Cher’s estimated 360M net worth and their age gap, fans have always been worried about AE’s intentions. But Cher has addressed it head-on more than once, saying that while it may look “ridiculous on paper,” in real life, they get along great.
The two met at Paris Fashion Week in 2022, and despite constant commentary, she’s made it clear she’s not interested in outside opinions. “They’re not living my life,” she’s said.
