Move over Chris Martin because Moses Martin is ready for his spotlight. The son of the Coldplay lead singer and Gwyneth Paltrow is following in his footsteps, and is currently touring with his NYC-based indie-alternative band, DANCER. The trio is opening up for Royal Otis this summer, and he looks like a natural.
On Tuesday, Moses, who is the lead singer and guitarist, shared a carousel of photos from his time on the road with his bandmates, Orlando Wiltshire and Andrew Suster. “music music music music,” he captioned the gallery. It included some artsy black and white photos, blurry moments, and silly poses with sunglasses.
The band is scheduled to take the stage on July 30, August 5, and August 6.
It’s pretty impressive they’re going on tour because DANCER has yet to release any tracks on streaming platforms. But the trio has a decent following and has shared some of their music on TikTok.
Of course, having rockstar lineage doesn’t hurt. Fans can’t help but compare Moses to his dad, with comments like, “sounds like beloved young days Coldplay such a vibe, like dad,” and “little bit of Chris voice.”
With Moses going all in with his music, we may one day see him and his dad on the stage together. Earlier this year, Chris made him a part of his show for his birthday -virtually. The proud dad called him while he was in Hong Kong and had the entire stadium tell him happy birthday. .
Moses and Apple: All grown up
Gwyneth and Chris have always been incredible coparents and supportive of their children’s dreams. On Moses’s 19th birthday, she shouted out his music, making it clear she is a fan. “You are deeply kind and brilliant. You have an incredible intellect, and you are so gifted, so talented. I listen to your music on repeat and miss you so much at college,” she wrote in the caption.
As for Moses’ sister Apple, she’s also found a love for entertainment. The junior at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee, is studying law, history, and society. But when she’s not buried in books, Apple’s channeling her parents’ artistic energy, performing with the school’s cabaret theater group.
“Oh my god, so—I’m in the lovely Vanderbilt Original Cast, the esteemed cabaret theater group,” she told Interview Magazine. She’s having a blast, too. “This semester’s show is a musical parody of Love Island called Love on an Island. It’s so fun. The songs are phenomenal,” Apple explained.
As Moses and Martin finish college and figure out what’s next, there’s no doubt they will have their parents cheering them along the way, and their own fans wishing them the best.
