Chrissy Teigen is in her bob era. The 40-year-old switched things, chopping off her long, luscious hair. The model and cookbook author debuted a fresh, shoulder-grazing bob, ditching her signature long extensions for something softer and more natural.
Over the post, she shouted out her glam team, hairstylist Irinel de León and extension queen Priscilla Valles, writing, “My babies thank you!”
She shared selfies on her main grid, writing, “chop chop,” adding, “feeling so light!!”
Teigen’s hairline surgery
It’s a new look and hairline for Teigen. The mother of four, who shares Luna, Miles, Esti, and Wren with John Legend, previously revealed she underwent a hairline-lowering procedure after experiencing postpartum hair loss.
In May 2025, she went live on Instagram with a bandaged face and no explanation. “Hi friends! [A lot] of you have been wondering about my hospital pic, which is very understandable as I gave no explanation lol. I had a hairline-lowering procedure,” she explained.
“Lost a lot in the front from babies, and it’s just very thin up there,” Teigen shared candidly, explaining that what people often see on red carpets is “ALWAYS extensions.”
The always candid Chrissy
Teigen has always been open about cosmetic procedures. From removing her breast implants to trying buccal fat removal, even admitting to Botox in her armpits, she’s never tried to sell the illusion of being untouched.
She’s also been incredibly honest about her sobriety. In January, she revealed that she went back to not drinking after falling off the wagon. “I wanted to be able to have a glass of wine on a date night with my husband. To be able to toast on birthdays.” Teigen explained on Instagram.
While she had promised to be “mild”, her drinking became “all too familiar,” and “Quiet moments at home were for wine.” “The time went from 6 pm, to 5, to 4, to aw hell, it’s lunch, why not. When it got to 11 am, I was like, oh f**k, here we go again.”
Teigen noted that she wasn’t drinking in a way that she was slurring and falling on the stairs, calling it “quiet and consistent.” “God, I felt like s**t,” she admitted. “I missed being able to pick up my keys for a last-minute grocery run. But it wasn’t messy enough yet to stop.”
Her career also played a part. After landing the opportunity to be a judge on Netflix’s Star Search, she explained, “There was absolutely no f**king way I’d do it with alcohol in my dressing room.”
