Craig Melvin is one proud dad. The TODAY Show co-host bragged about his two kids’ unexpected red carpet experience on the Third Hour of the morning show.
Craig, who is married to fellow journalist Lindsay Czarniak, is a dad-of-two. His children, son Delano, 12, and daughter Sybil, nine, walked in a star-studded runway show on Thursday, September 17.
The morning show star’s children strutted down the runway at the Macy’s x Rookie Kids: Runway on Broadway fashion show. Delano sported a Nike ensemble, including white t-shirt with Michael Jordan on it and a red backpack, while Sybil wore a collared denim dress with a pleated hem from Levi’s.
“They had a good time,” Craig shared, adding that Delano was “most excited about his Jordan 1” sneakers.
The young models didn’t just enjoy the runway, but they loved the red carpet too.
“It was the first time [Delano] ever walked the red carpet and took some pictures,” Craig explained. “He asked, ‘You do this sometimes?’ I said, ‘Occasionally.'” To which Delano said: “This is fun!”

Sybil and Delano weren’t the only celebrity children who walked the runway. New York Knicks players Jalen Brunson and Josh Hart toted their toddlers to the fashion show too.
The point guard, 30, helped his two-year-old daughter Jordyn strut her stuff. The toddler wore a sparkly Knicks jersey with her dad’s number, embellished with a white feather boa. Holding her mom Ali Brunson’s hand as she stood at the beginning of the runway, Jordyn got a little nervous and started running towards her dad. Jalen saved the day when he hopped on stage and walked the show with her. Watch the adorable moment below.
Alongside Jalen’s family, Knicks guard Josh Hart’s twin boys walked the runway. The 31-year-old shares Hendrix and Haze, three, with his longtime wife Shannon Hart. The toddlers wore matching light blue jump suits with white basketballs embellished throughout, and Knicks t-shirts.

Craig and Lindsay raise their children in the suburbs of Connecticut and although their careers mean they spend a fair amount of time apart, the Today anchor says: “It’s been hard, but thank God for FaceTime.”
© InstagramDelano and Sybil went back to school on August 26. To celebrate the big day, Craig shared a series of photographs of them to Instagram. The first snap captured Delano and Sybil as they posed outside their school holding up sweet signs. Sybil, who was dressed in denim shorts and white sneakers, celebrated her first day of 4th grade while Delano, who rocked a white T-shirt and shorts, smiled for his first day of 7th grade.
The final picture was a sweet family selfie to commemorate the milestone day. “Back to school they go! So proud of these two and can’t wait to see all they accomplish this year,” penned Craig in the caption.
