The Critics’ Choice Association just revealed the full slate of honorees for its 5th annual Celebration of Latino Cinema & Television, happening October 24, 2025, in Beverly Hills. This year’s lineup includes activists, trailblazers, icons, and the next wave of talent shaping Hollywood.
“It is a true privilege to celebrate this extraordinary group of honorees,” said Critics’ Choice Association Board Member and Co-Programmer Clayton Davis. “At a time when Latinos are too often vilified or overlooked, their artistry stands as proof of our brilliance, resilience, and undeniable influence. These stories reflect our community and elevate the global cultural fabric.”
Dolores Huerta
Civil rights Mexican-American legend Dolores Huerta will receive the Icon Award. As the co-founder of the United Farm Workers Union, the 95-year-old has spent her entire career fighting for the rights of farmworkers, women, and marginalized communities. She’s still organizing, inspiring, and reminding the world with her rallying cry – “Sí, se puede.” Her extraordinary life story is now being developed into a feature film co-written by Barbara Martinez Jitner with Gregory Nava attached to direct.
America Ferrera

The Honduran-American is being honored with the Trailblazer Award following her recent lead role in The Lost Bus.

The Guatemalan star had an incredible year at Venice with two acclaimed films, proving once again why he’s one of Hollywood’s most versatile actors.

© GettyBrazil’s Kleber Mendonça Filho will be honored with the Director Award for The Secret Agent. He was recently honored with Best Director at the 78th Cannes Film Festival for the film and received the FIPRESCI International Critics Prize.
Anthony Ramos
Puerto Rican actor Anthony Ramos is recognized with the Supporting Actor Award for A House of Dynamite. Since Hamilton, he’s built an impressive resume with In the Heights, Twisters, and Transformers: Rise of the Beasts.

Meanwhile, Dominican-American producer, Emmy winner Frida Perez, who just became the first Latina to win an Emmy for Outstanding Comedy Series, takes the Showrunner Award after shattering records at the Emmys with Apple TV+’s The Studio. She co-created the critically acclaimed series, which garnered 13 wins with 23 nominations in a single year.
