London’s called, and Dakota Johnson answered. The Texas-born actress made the cobbles of the British capital her runway on Thursday night in a sheer lace dress of dreams.
Taking to the streets of Mayfair for a special screening of her new film, Verity, the 50 Shades of Grey star, 36, set the Curzon cinema alight when she stepped in wearing the ivory floor-length gown.
The gown in question was a masterpiece by designer Colleen Allen, from her Spring/Spring 2026 collection. The look combined floral French lace, crafted on top to form an exquisite, raw-edge V-neckline.
Dakota added a cheeky je nais se quoi to her red-carpet-worthy look, slipping into a tiny thong and black bra from Fleur du Mal, which were highlighted under the light, sheer fabric.
As for her shoes, the Materialists actress slipped on a pair of open-toe heels by Giuseppe Zanotti.

The brunette bombshell also added a gold and diamond bracelet and a chunky ring to match.

The Hollywood starlet’s trademark chocolate tresses were more down, cascading past her shoulders, and blow-dried immaculately straight.

Dakota’s highly anticipated role in Verity
Dakota’s latest role is in the big-screen adaptation of Colleen Hoover’s famous novel in which she stars as Lowen Ashleigh, a struggling writer who moves into the family home of Verity Crawford – played by Anne Hathaway – to ghostwrite for her.
Talking about the pressure she felt stepping into Lowen’s shoes, Dakota said that she didn’t want to disappoint book readers and hopes they will be satisfied with the adaptation.
© Getty“I always feel like any book adaptation is tough because every person reading a book, the experience is so insular,” Dakota said. “So, it’s very much your own imagination that you are really glued to.
“But I think people will be excited. Annie does an incredible job in this movie. There’s pressure, but also, like, what are you going to do?”
