I Have A Dream …

Dave Chappelle says Charlie Kirk‘s murder is eerily reminiscent of Martin Luther King Jr.‘s … but that’s where the similarities between them end — full stop.

The comedian released an unexpected Netflix standup special Friday titled “The Unstoppable” … and, unsurprisingly, Chappelle waded into some of the world’s most controversial topics — such as the life and legacy of Kirk.

DC addressed the killing of Kirk … noting Charlie got “murdered in a terrible fashion” just like Dr. King, and adding they both were shot in the neck. However, Chappelle says the two can’t be compared … because Kirk was an internet personality who “fundamentally can’t function like” the late civil rights leader.

He explains … “Internet n****s are negative because they have to be. Because nobody will engage them unless they say sh*t that makes them upset.”

Chapelle next asked the crowd if they could imagine MLK acting like Kirk … and launched into an impersonation of the former engagement farming like many on both left and right-wing social media do, which got raucous laughs from the crowd.

Ever since the assassination of Kirk on a Utah college campus in September, many conservative voices have lifted him up as a defender of free speech and an activist dedicated to saving America’s youth from the rise of alleged communism on college campuses.

Dr. King’s son — Martin Luther King III — rejected the comparison between the two shortly after Charlie’s death … saying, “[Kirk] certainly was a force in this society and a significant force, but I just disagree with the position that his force was about inclusiveness.”
