David Beckham has fans begging for a network to give him his own cooking show. While he stays busy with business ventures, the soccer star has been living his best life now that he’s retired. He’s picked up many hobbies like gardening and cooking.
David and Victoria love sharing glimpses of their lives on social media. On Halloween, the 51-year-old fashionista shared a video of her husband making a Halloween cake. She narrated the clip while watching from behind the camera.
Aside from the cake getting stuck at first, his baking skills seem pretty impressive as he popped out the spongy circular funfetti cake. He slathered it with chocolate frosting and they seemed to be having a blast together.
David even made a “that’s what she said” joke. “How much tequila have you had?” Victoria quipped at one point.
Their loyal followers loved the content. “Give this man his own cooking show, guest starring Vicky!” read the top-liked comment. “Is there anything David beckham can’t do?!?” “I love seeing rich people do normal things. Tom Browne playing in the background. You two are such a vibe!” added another.
David does the cooking in the family, and he has roasted her in the past for her lack of culinary skills. The Spice Girls singer quipped in the caption, “‘Helping’ @davidbeckham in the kitchen again… what would he do without me!”
Earlier this month, Victoria shared a video on her story of David hard at work in the kitchen making a Sunday roast. “I am doing a Sunday roast for when our parents arrive in a few hours, which they should be very excited about,” David says in the clip.
When Victoria asks if he needs help, he had a straight-faced reaction to the camera, asking, “From who?” when Victoria offered, he hilariously responded, “Absolutely not. Stay away!”
One thing Victoria probably has mastered is grilled fish and steamed vegetables. According to David, she’s eaten the same meal for over 25 years.
“She only eats grilled fish, steamed vegetables; she will very rarely deviate from that,” he said on the Netflix docuseries BECKHAM. “The only time she’s probably ever shared something that’s been on my plate was actually when she was pregnant with Harper, and it was the most amazing thing… It was one of my favourite evenings. I can’t remember what it was, but I know she’s not eaten it since!”
Like father, like son
Their son, Brooklyn Beckham, has also taken up an appreciation for cooking. He’s posted several videos throwing down in the kitchen. Last week, he even made a famously challenging beef wellington.
They’ve been making headlines for a rumored rift, but recent social media activity has people thinking they could be on the road to reconciliation.
