David Furnish shared several rare photos of his teenage sons, Zachary and Elijah, whom he shares with his husband, Elton John, as the family enjoyed a trip to the snow together.
The 63-year-old took to Instagram to post the carousel of snaps, which included a photo of the boys on the ski slopes dressed in matching Canadian hockey jerseys in a nod to David’s home country.
Another picture showed Zachary and Elijah sitting on the giant letters “Z” and “E” while holding hands, and a third photo featured David standing in the snow in an all-black ski outfit with stylish black glasses.
The post also included several videos from their getaway, which saw the boys zooming down the slopes with ease. “The half-term tradition continues – a LOT of snow and a LOT of laughter…..!” the proud dad wrote in the caption. Elton chimed in with a comment below, writing: “Love this.”
David and Elton’s fans took to the comment section to share the love, with one saying: “Way to represent, boys!” while another added: “Love…love…LOVE THIS!!” The couple, who have been together since 1993, welcomed Zachary in 2010 via surrogate, and Elijah in 2013 via the same surrogate.
David surprised fans in January by sharing a photo of his sons’ faces, after years of obscuring their visages from social media. The boys looked dapper in matching black suits at an NYE party as they were joined by their fathers and by Donatella Versace.
Elton has often shared how grateful he is to be a father, after believing it would never happen for him. “If you’d had said to me 10 years ago I’d be sitting on your show, married to the man I love and have two beautiful children, I would have said, ‘You put acid in my drink,'” he quipped on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.

“But life throws you challenges and life throws you curveballs – great curveballs – and these two children have come along at a time I never thought I’d have children. There’s no words to describe how much we love these boys. They’re just amazing.”
As the 78-year-old singer prepares to enter his eighth decade, Elton is focused on spending as much time with his kids as possible despite his ongoing vision issues.
“I can’t read. I can’t see my boys playing rugby and soccer, and it has been a very stressful time, because I’m used to soaking it all up. It’s distressing,” he told The Times. “You get emotional, but you have to get used to it, because I’m lucky to have the life I have. I still have my wonderful family, and I can still see something out of here.”
Elton contracted a severe eye infection in 2024, which left him blind in the right eye and with limited vision in the left. The “Rocketman” singer told Variety that he had not been able to “see anything, watch anything, read anything” during this time, but that he hadn’t given up hope for an improvement.
“You just have to grin and bear it. It does get me down sometimes,” he admitted. “You mustn’t give up hope, you must be stoic, you must be strong, and you must always try and batter the door down to try and improve things.”
