Demi Moore turned heads this week when she stepped out on the red carpet at the South by Southwest Film Festival in Austin, showing off her slim frame.
The 63-year-old actress has long been known for her thin look, but fans recently noticed she appeared even smaller than usual during an appearance earlier this month at the Actor Awards. At that event, Moore wore a skintight, sleeveless black gown that highlighted her noticeably lean figure — a look that quickly sparked unconfirmed online chatter about Ozempic.
For her latest red-carpet outing at SXSW, Moore went with another striking ensemble: a plunging sleeveless wrap dress that showed off one of her long legs thanks to a dramatic slit. The outfit was pulled together with a shimmering orange sash around her waist, which accentuated the slimming silhouette as she smiled brightly for photographers in the Texas sunshine.
Moore was in town for the premiere of her new film I Love Boosters!, which also stars Keke Palmer and is directed by Boots Riley, the filmmaker behind Sorry to Bother You. During the premiere, Moore shared a friendly moment with Riley on the carpet, affectionately resting her hands on the director’s shoulders as they posed together for photos.
She also brought along a very tiny date: her beloved 1.2-pound Chihuahua Pilaf. The miniature pup has accompanied Moore to several public events in recent years and once again made a cameo on the red carpet.
Moore’s ultra-slim appearance at the Actor Awards earlier this month also fueled plenty of speculation online, with fans across social media complaining about all of the Hollywood stars who allegedly use the weight-loss drug Ozempic.
Interestingly enough, Moore recently starred in a film that explored extreme body transformation. In the 2024 body-horror movie The Substance, she played an aging actress who creates a younger version of herself — portrayed by Margaret Qualley — by taking an illegal drug, with the two bodies forced to switch consciousness every week.
Moore earned a Best Actress nomination at the Academy Awards for the role. Cameras caught her maintaining a stoic expression during the ceremony when the award ultimately went to Mikey Madison for her performance as a determined New York escort in Sean Baker’s dramedy Anora.
