Despite a worldwide pandemic, Lil Wayne managed to find a love in his life back in 2020 with Denise Bidot. But it looks like their relationship has come to a dramatic end. Nearly five years after the on-and-off couple went public with their romance, the model accused the rapper of abusing her, dumping her over text and of being with a “plethora of girls” in May 2025.
“Wayne literally kicked me and my daughter out on Mother’s Day today,” Denise claimed in a video shared via her Instagram Stories. “I am just recovering from surgery. I am five weeks out from a whole mommy makeover. I can’t even lift boxes. But this man has his assistants coming to help kick us out today … and broke up with me on Mother’s Day through text.”
Denise further alleged that Lil Wayne “has actually laid a f**king hand on me. Like nah. And I took it. And you know what’s crazy is, they always say we’re so stupid for love, and I thought it was a mistake. But I know other women he’s put his hands on. … I’ve been nothing but supportive to this man, loved him ‘til the end of the world.”
Lil Wayne has yet to publicly comment on his ex-girlfriend’s accusations.

Denise is a professional plus-size model
Denise’s big break through came in 2014 when she was the first plus-size model to hit the catwalk for New York Fashion Week, walking for CHROMAT and Serena Williams‘ HSN fashion line! Since then, she’s worked with Nordstrom, Forever 21, Old Navy, Macy’s, Lane Bryant and more. During her shoot with Lane Bryant, where she posed up in a two-piece bathing suit, Denise proudly showed off her stretch marks in an untouched photo, making the image go viral in the hours after it was made public. She’s currently represented by CAA in both NYC and LA.
Denise has appeared in TV and film
Denise might be thinking about pivoting to acting, because she already has quite the filmography to back her up. In 2011, Denise made her first appearance on the reality TV series Curvy Girls for one episode, and later appeared in the 2013 TV movie Habla Women as herself. She’s also appeared on the TV show Fashion Police in 2017 and later that year appeared alongside Danielle Brooks and Christian Siriano in the documentary Straight/Curve: Redefining Body Image.
Denise is the creator of “There Is No Wrong Way To Be A Woman”
In the summer of 2016, Denise launched “The No Wrong Way Movement,” inspiring everyone to feel beautiful in their skin. “While the world around us may try to force us into specific categories in order to measure up to a certain definition of beauty, I say I’m in a category all my own,” Denise shares on the official website. “My movement is all about inspiring others to love themselves exactly as they are because our differences are what make us perfect. If we are sincerely ourselves without apology, there’s no way we can go wrong.”
Denise has a daughter
Denise hails from Miami, FL, and is of Puerto Rican and Kuwaiti descent. She has a daughter named Joselyn from a previous relationship, whom she credits as being the impetus behind Denise’s self-love/ body image movement.
Denise worked as a makeup artist after quitting acting
After moving to Los Angeles in 2005, Denise initially pursued an acting career, she told The Cut in July 2016.
“I would go out on all these Disney show auditions, and it was so easy to be yourself. Then I turned 18, moved to California, and was constantly being told that I needed to lose weight,” Denise told the publication. “I was like,’“Look, I should be enough. Why is talent not enough?’”
After she quit acting, Denise said she worked as a makeup artist for a plus-sized model, calling it “fate” that she landed the job.
“The photographer was like, ‘Have you ever thought of modeling?’” Denise recalled. “It may have been the one thing I never thought was possible for me. I’m short and chubby. Shortly after I shot the images with her, she started getting calls like, ‘Who is this girl? Who is she signed to? What’s she doing?’ I ran through the door and realized what an amazing opportunity it was.”
