Did Millie Bobby Brown drop a clue about her daughter’s name?

Millie Bobby Brown and her husband Jake Bongiovi surprised fans this week with the news that they adopted a baby girl. They did not share any other details except that it happened this summer, and they were excited about their next journey. Many celebrities appreciate keeping their children’s lives private, especially when it comes to photos. The couple has not revealed the name, but eagle-eyed fans noticed her phone case, which may have the baby’s initials. 

The 21-year-old “Stranger Things” star was spotted for the first time since the announcement with her new family of three during a stroll in East Hampton, NY. In photos published to DailyMail, she and Bongiovi had the baby in a stroller, and she was holding a pink phone case with the letters “R,” “W,” and “B” in red, possibly pointing to her daughter’s initials. “R” being the first name, “W” the middle, and “B”  the family’s last name. 

Brown leaned into this new chapter of her life appropriately, wearing a denim sweater with “Mother” in sparkly letters. “This summer, we welcomed our sweet baby girl through adoption,” they wrote in a joint post. “We are beyond excited to embark on this beautiful next chapter of parenthood in both peace and privacy. And then there were 3. Love, Millie and Jake Bongiovi.”

The couple is proving to be great at moving in silence. They secretly married in May 2024 before celebrating with a larger wedding in Italy. They were also able to reveal the baby news themselves without it getting leaked to the public. 

Millie has always wanted to be a young mom

It should come as no surprise, the actress herself previously expressed her desire to be a mom, telling the Smartless podcast in March, “My mom actually had her first child at 21, and my dad was 19. And you know, it’s been my thing since before I met Jake.”

She said that since she was a baby, she always knew she “wanted to be a mom” just like the way her mom was to her. We can expect more, too, she said, they are planning on having a big family. “I really want a family. I really want a big family,” Brown said. 

The idea of adoption has been brewing for some time, too. “I’m one of four. He’s one of four. So, it is definitely in our future, but, for me, I don’t see having your own child, you know, as really any different from adopting,” she continued. 

While everyone has something to say about any woman’s decision, there have been some people mentioning her age. But being a young mom has always been something she wanted. An insider opened up about this new journey with PEOPLE, saying, “She’s so young, but so focused. And she has the biggest heart. There’s no doubt that she’s a great mom.” “Even before they were married, she often spoke about her wish to be a young mom,” they said, adding, “And Jake was always on the same page. They’re in it together.”

The source also opened up about where the baby will grow up, saying they “really worked on creating this special family life in Georgia.” “She loves her farm — it’s going to be such a special place for the baby to grow up.”
