Don Johnson enjoyed some father-son time with his youngest child, Deacon, during a visit to his fraternity house at the University of Southern California.
The Miami Vice actor, 76, smiled as he sat beside the 20-year-old on a sofa, with Deacon wrapping an arm around his famous father for the photograph.
Don’s wife, Kelley Phleger, shared the family moment alongside a caption that suggested she was taking the college visit in her stride. “Parent visit to the Frat House! Hide the evidence,” she joked.
A visit to Deacon’s college
The photograph offered a glimpse of Deacon’s university life, two years after his parents helped him settle into USC.
Don and Kelley dropped their youngest son off at the university in 2024. At the time, the actor discussed adjusting to his children leaving home, while explaining that Deacon’s college location would allow them to visit regularly.

This time, it was his parents’ turn to come to him. The relaxed photograph captured Don away from a film set or red carpet, joining his son in the surroundings he now shares with his college friends.
Kelley’s teasing caption kept the update lighthearted, while the picture showed father and son sitting close together during their catch-up.

Deacon is the youngest of Don and Kelley’s three children. The couple, who married in April 1999, also share daughter Atherton Grace, known as Grace, and son Jasper.
Grace was born in December 1999, followed by Jasper in June 2002 and Deacon in April 2006. His arrival fell on his parents’ seventh wedding anniversary.
Don is also father to actor Jesse Johnson, whom he shares with former partner Patti D’Arbanville, and actress Dakota Johnson, from his marriage to Melanie Griffith.
The siblings have pursued different interests. Jesse followed his father into acting, with credits including Twin Peaks and Grey’s Anatomy, while Grace has worked as a model, including on the runway for Gucci.
Dakota, meanwhile, established her own Hollywood career through the Fifty Shades films and projects including The Peanut Butter Falcon, The Lost Daughter and Materialists. Deacon’s latest family update centres on his college experience rather than a move into the entertainment industry.
‘My kids are my everything’
Don has previously used social media to show how much family occasions mean to him. Celebrating his 75th birthday in December 2024, he shared a photograph surrounded by his children and extended family.
“My Kids are my Everything!!! Happy Birthday to me!!!” he wrote. The gathering included Kelley, Grace, Jasper, Deacon, Dakota and Jesse, alongside Melanie’s children Alexander Bauer and Stella Banderas.
Music has also featured in the family’s time together. Don previously posted footage of his sons playing guitar during Thanksgiving, offering another glimpse of the interests they share away from their individual careers and studies.
