Donald Trump is proud of his wife. The President recently praised Melania Trump and her documentary film, “Melania,” which premiered in theaters earlier this year.
During a speech at Trump National Doral, Trump addressed his wife and her film, which is now available to stream. Trump was sharing a personal story about his first term as president, and how he wanted to share it with Melania.
“I went home and told our great first lady who’s now a movie star,” he said. “She’s got the biggest… Can you believe this? That movie was hot and it is hot. She became a movie star.”
“It was a good movie,” he concluded.
“Melania” premiered in theaters on January 29th, with the film trailing the first lady and her preparation as she got ready to return to the White House for a second presidential term. The film promised an insider’s look at the White House and the process of getting ready for a presidential term, all through the eyes of Melania.
The film had a screening at the White House, welcoming various notorious figures, among them Tim Cook, Georgina Rodriguez, and Rania, the Queen of Jordan.
“How lucky to have attended the premiere,” wrote Rodriguez in a post on Instagram, sharing some photos of herself in the White House and visiting the most popular sites in Washington, D.C. “An experience as impressive as it was inspiring. Congratulations on your film, Melania Trump, for the work behind it and for bringing it to life with such presence and sensitivity,” she concluded.
Trump has previously praised Melania’s movie
This isn’t the first time Trump has praised Melania’s documentary. Shortly after the film’s release, Trump called Melania a “big movie star.”
“I always say it’s trouble, because I always say there’s not room in one family for two stars. I told her that we can’t have two stars in one family,” he said at a Board of Peace event hosted in Washington, D.C.
