An “electric” adaptation of Claire Keegan’s short story, Walk the Blue Fields, is coming to Netflix – and its cast list is seriously brilliant.
The upcoming romance film has reportedly added Andrew Scott (Fleabag), Tom Cullen (Downton Abbey) and Ciarán Hinds (Belfast) to its cast, which is led by Oscar nominee, Emily Blunt (Oppenheimer).
Walk the Blue Fields is definitely going on my watchlist. Not only is the film based on author Claire’s captivating story, which has been hailed as “pure magic,” but it’s produced by Oscar-winning production company Element Pictures (Poor Things, Room), alongside leading star Emily’s Ledbury Productions and Compelling Pictures (Whitney Houston: I Wanna Dance with Somebody).
Actress Emily previously described the story as “aching and electric”. She said in a statement: “I’m so deeply excited to embark on bringing Claire Keegan’s aching and electric short story to life as a movie. I’m grateful to this creative team who have made the development of it thus far so magical.”
