Sharna Burgess has gone back to her roots after unveiling her dramatic hair transformation on Friday.
The 41-year-old DWTS pro has swapped her blonde locks for her signature fiery red hue, and fans were delighted to see her trademark color return.
Sharing a video of her transformation on Instagram, a blonde Sharna said: “Let’s be real. Going from this,” before she transitioned to red, “To this requires a whole new level of maintenance.”
In the clip, Sharna revealed that she has teamed up with haircare brand Amika to “help keep my hair strong, shiny and vibrant.”
Captioning the video, she penned: “When @amika says they love the Sharna red, the Sharna red they shall receive.”
Her followers went wild for her familiar bold look, with one simply commenting: “Chills.” A second said: “YES YES YES!!! SHE’S BACK!!!! The Sharna red is like nothing else.”
A third added: “I’ve been waiting years for this,” and another quipped: “Because idk that blonde lady! lol THIS! I know this girl! Lol.”
DWTS return
Sharna returned to DWTS for the 35th season, which premiered on September 15, 2026, after a five-year hiatus, although she did make a brief cameo during the 500th episode in 2024.
She was promoted from the troupe to the professional team in 2013, but left the ABC show in 2021 after dancing alongside her real-life partner, Brian Austin Green.

“It just felt like I needed to sit in motherhood with Zane. It was always, ‘I want to come back next year,’ and ‘Of course, we love you, we’ll always have you.'”
However, Sharna was not asked back for season 32. “Because it was such a shock, because I wasn’t expecting it, it was tough,” she said.
© Getty Images“It’s not the first time. My last five years on the show have been rocky. Not because of the show. I love the show deeply, but we had a new executive producer come in, I think five years ago now.
“I had just won with Bobby Bones, and he decided not to bring me back. There’s a lot of speculation as to why.”
Sharna was referring to season 28, when she and Artem Chigvintsev were unexpectedly cut from the cast.
“I am unbelievably sad to not be back!!!” she shared after the news was announced.

She added: “To say the least.. it’s been epic. and to have finally won still feels as exciting and special as it did the moment @tombergeron said our names.”
For her DWTS return, Sharna has been partnered with Tyler Cameron, a former Bachelorette hopeful turned TV personality.
