Eileen Gu turns 23 – her hottest looks from bikinis to naked dresses

Eileen was so laid back as she stretched out on a sunbed, dressed in a white bikini that showcased her toned abs. The star had a book in her hand and a smile on her face as she soaked up the sun on her vacation.

Eileen got candid about how much she had changed over the years, and how her body had fluctuated as she entered her 20s.

“So much happens between age 18 and 22,” she said on the On Purpose with Jay Shetty podcast. 

“Staying in peak form during that period of your life, specifically as a woman, is very, very difficult. From my last Olympics to now, I went through all of college. Like, I was a high school grad, and now I’m a college grad… that’s just two different people.”

The Olympian proved her fashion chops when she opted to pair a button-up Balenciaga shirt with a sheer black corset worn over the top during a walk through The Bund in Shanghai.

Eileen rocked a white string bikini and a pair of white denim shorts as she enjoyed a day out at sea in Italy. 

Her brunette-blonde locks tumbled down her back, and her legs seemed to go on for days as she stretched over the boat’s railing.  

Eileen was ethereal in a bubble dress designed by Iris van Herpen at the Met Gala in 2026. “I have 15,000 glass bubbles on me,” she told ESPNW. 

“It took 2,550 hours to make. There’s technology under the dress that enables reality to kind of come together with art. It’s a play on surrealism, it’s a play on movement, it’s a play on nature, on fun, on whimsy.” 

She accessorized with see-through heels and a stunning updo.

The brunette beauty was the picture of elegance as she sat in a dinghy out at sea in Crete, dressed in a black one-piece swimsuit with straps across the back. 

She paired the look with an oversized black hat featuring silver fabric detailing. “Discreet? Nah, dis Crete,” she quipped in the Instagram caption.

Eileen looked like a model in a stunning coral-colored gown featuring ruffles and a fitted bodice while on her getaway in Crete. 

She stood on a platform on the beach as crystal-clear water lapped behind her and the sun set in pinks and oranges. “I see where Epicurus was coming from,” she wrote in the caption.

Eileen has been open about her struggle to balance modelling and skiing, and shared with The New York Times how her diet had to change.

“Diet is something I definitely think about as an athlete and a model,” she said. 

“In both of my jobs, my body does the work. I haven’t talked about this very much, but last year I was struggling with eating. Being skinny isn’t really that great if it’s compromising your strength.”

The Chinese-American star wowed at the 2026 ESPY Awards in a dazzling metallic gold one-shoulder gown with intricate pleating and a dramatic floral embellishment. 

She paired the look with a diamond necklace and a gold watch, and wore her hair in a chic updo.

Eileen stole the show at Paris Fashion Week in October 2021 when she arrived in a Louis Vuitton look complete with brightly patterned high-waisted pants, a knitted gray sweater and leather heeled boots.

She shared with The New York Times that it was important for her to maintain a high-calorie diet in order to train effectively. 

“I definitely eat more now – I’m 5-foot-8 and 120 pounds – and I’m eating about 2,000 calories a day. It’s really a maintenance level for me, and then sometimes I need to eat more.”

Eileen put everyone to shame at the Grand Dîner du Louvre in a sheer, blush-pink gown with a billowing silhouette and dramatic translucent panels extending from her shoulders and waist. 

She wore her hair down in glamorous waves as she proved her fashion prowess.
