Former Victoria’s Secret Angel stuns with her ageless beauty

Adriana Lima, the iconic Brazilian model and longtime Victoria’s Secret Angel, turned 44 last week on June 12th, proving that age is just a number. Born in Salvador, Brazil, Lima originally dreamed of becoming a pediatrician. 

But destiny had other plans: at just 15, she skyrocketed to fame after winning Ford Models’ Supermodel of Brazil competition. Since then, Adriana Lima has become a global symbol of beauty and strength in fashion.

In 1999, at just 17 years old, Adriana landed the ultimate It Girl position, becoming Victoria’s Secret Angel, and she is regarded as one of the most successful VS stars of all time. 

Adriana returned to the Victoria’s Secret runway last year, having retired in 2018 after nearly two decades as an Angel. In October, she was part of the underwear brand’s fashion show in New York City.

In addition to Victoria’s Secret, Adriana has worked for Maybelline, starred in Super Bowl commercials, and collaborated with brands like Puma and Chopard.

A source told DailyMail.com at the time that the model enjoys life as a mum but she missed her work. The insider said: “Adriana has had to be committed to other things in life. But she missed doing the job she has loved forever.”

“She wants to prove that she still has it.” Adriana has been married twice before. Last December, she revealed she and her film producer partner, Andre Lemmers, 43, tied the knot in secret.

The couple have a son called Cyan, who turns three in August. Adriana was previously married to Serbian NBA player Marko Jaric, and they are parents to two daughters, Valentina, 15, and Sienna, 12. Lemmers also has two children from a previous relationship.

Adriana and Marko walked down the aisle in 2009 but split in 2014, and their divorce was finalized in 2016.

The stunning supermodel previously confessed that her beauty and self-care regimes went “out the window” at times due to motherhood, not that anyone could tell.

She previously told Vogue India magazine: “Becoming a mother changes everything. Beauty and self-care go out the window sometimes.”

“But as my two daughters have gotten older, I’ve realized that they copy a lot of what I do and my habits, and it’s important for me to make sure they’re copying good ones.”
