Frankie Valli’s representative has shared a new update on the legendary singer’s health amid growing concern from fans.
The 92-year-old Four Seasons frontman has been taking time away from performing after cancelling the remainder of his farewell tour earlier this year in order to focus on his health. Now, his representative has reassured fans that the singer is improving – and insisted he has no plans to retire.
“He’s had some tough times, but he’s getting through them, and he’s improving,” Frankie’s rep told People in a statement on August 15. “He is looking forward to being back on the road, and he is not retired.”
The update comes days after Frankie was photographed publicly for the first time in more than two months, prompting renewed discussion about his health and the future of his performing career.
Frankie announced on May 29 that he and The Four Seasons would not continue with the remaining dates on their The Last Encores farewell tour this year.
“I’m so sorry to disappoint the folks who have purchased tickets to my shows, but I have decided to take the rest of the year off from touring to focus on my health,” he told his followers on Instagram.

Rather than repeatedly rescheduling the concerts, the singer’s team opted to cancel the remaining performances so fans could receive refunds.
At the time, his representative explained that Frankie had realised he needed to take a proper break and concentrate on getting his health back on track. No specific details about his health issues have been publicly disclosed.

On August 14, the veteran performer addressed speculation directly in a short message shared on Instagram. “In spite of what you might have heard, I am not retired. – Frankie,” he wrote.
In 2024, after videos of his live performances sparked concern online, the singer issued another statement insisting he remained happy and capable of doing what he loved.

More recently, Frankie reflected on his extraordinary six-decade career in a June Instagram post. “The stage has always been home,” he wrote. “Over 60 years of performing, and the energy never changed.”
Frankie rose to fame as the distinctive falsetto voice of The Four Seasons, scoring a string of enduring hits including Sherry, Big Girls Don’t Cry, Walk Like a Man and December, 1963 (Oh, What a Night).
