Angelina Jolie and her youngest daughter, Vivienne Jolie-Pitt, share a tight bond. While Jolie is known for her strong relationships with all of her children, Vivienne and her share a special bond, one that’s been growing as Vivienne has developed an interest in the arts. They’ve worked together on Broadway
Much of what we know of Vivienne is due to her involvement in the Tony Award winning Broadway play “The Outsiders.” Angelina Jolie served as one of the show’s producers, with Vivivenne working as one of the show’s production assistants.
“Viv reminds me of my mother [Marcheline Bertrand] in that she isn’t focused on being the centre of attention but on being a support to other creatives,” said Jolie to Entertainment Tonight. “She’s very thoughtful and serious about theatre and working hard to best understand how to contribute.”
Vivienne was so passionate about the show that she gave her mother some production notes, which made their way to the final and award-winning production. “Vivienne would watch the show and give me the most amazing notes,” said Jolie, per InStyle magazine. “Like, incredible eye. So, it was a wonderful, wonderful support, and also, obviously, made the work better.”

Following their work on the Broadway play, Angelina and Viv got matching tattoos.
“I got ‘Stay Gold’ with my daughter Viv during our time with ‘The Outsiders,'” said Jolie. The phrase is a reference to one of the play’s songs. “It means so much to us separately and together.”
Jolie has the tattoo on her arm, while Vivienne’s tattoo placement is unknown.

Angelina has shared that Vivienne reminds her of her mother. This confession has a special meaning since Angelina named Vivienne with her mother’s middle name.
She was born with her brother Knox in Nice, France, in 2008.

While Vivienne is deeply interested in the arts and is the family’s resident “theater-head,” it appears like she has no interest in acting.
“That’s not my doing,” said Jolie at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival. “I always wanted them to be around film because… It’s such a wonderful family, to be creative, to be an artist.”
“They’re not interested,” she concluded.
