Candace Cameron Bure has officially entered her grandma era, and the milestone arrived earlier than anyone expected. The 50-year-old “Full House” and “Fuller House” star became a first-time grandmother after her son Lev Bure, 26, and his wife, Elliott Bure, welcomed their first child, a baby boy named Bond Leo Bure.
Bond was born on Aug. 4, 2026, 10 weeks premature and weighing exactly 3 pounds. The couple waited until Sept. 27 to publicly announce his birth, revealing that their newborn had spent more than five weeks in the neonatal intensive care unit before finally coming home.
For Cameron Bure, who has spent months excitedly talking about becoming “CandyGram,” the announcement made the long-awaited title official.
Candace Cameron Bure’s First Grandchild Is Bond Leo Bure
Elliott shared the family’s news on Instagram, posting photos documenting some of Bond’s earliest weeks. “Welcome baby boy!!!! BOND LEO BURE. 8.4.2026,” she wrote.
The new mom explained that Bond’s arrival came significantly ahead of schedule. “Bond was born 10 weeks early at exactly 3 lbs. and was transferred immediately to the NICU,” Elliott shared, according to People.
What followed was an emotional stretch for the new parents. “Through lots of tears, countless prayers, and what felt like endless hours in the hospital, 5 weeks and 5 days later we finally brought our miracle boy home!!” Elliott wrote.
She also expressed her gratitude to the medical team that cared for Bond, thanking the nurses and doctors as well as the couple’s community for supporting the family. “Thank you Jesus for every answered prayer!!!!! we are blessed beyond measure!!!!” she added.
Candace Cameron Bure Calls Her Grandson a ‘Miracle Baby’
Cameron Bure quickly celebrated her grandson in the comments of the birth announcement. “Bond Leo is a miracle baby,” she wrote.

The milestone has been a long-awaited one for the actress. Months before Bond’s arrival, Cameron Bure had already picked out a playful grandmother nickname: “CandyGram.”

Cameron Bure hasn’t been shy about how excited she is to become a grandmother.

Turning 50 the same year, she said, turned out to be “perfect.”
Then came another surprise. Just weeks after Natasha revealed she and husband Bradley Steven Perry were expecting, Lev and Elliott announced their own pregnancy. Cameron Bure reacted enthusiastically, writing, “Are you KIDDING?!! Another grandbaby on the way !!!!! Does life get any better?!!!”
She added, “CandyGram x2 = fully ignited,” while congratulating Lev and Elliott.
Candace Cameron Bure Had Big Plans for Grandma Life
Before officially becoming a grandmother, Cameron Bure opened up about what she imagined the experience would look like. “My husband and I have been eagerly waiting for this day since two of our kids got married,” she told AARP in an interview published before Bond’s arrival.

Her plans for her grandchildren sound appropriately hands-on. Cameron Bure told the publication she was looking forward to “all the cuddles and kisses, stroller walks and ice cream,” along with trips to play in the sand and whatever adventures her grandchildren might dream up.
She also described herself as “over the moon” about having two grandchildren on the way.
