Georgina Rodríguez appears to be seeking peace and family time far from the growing tensions in the Middle East. The model and entrepreneur recently traveled to Spain with several of her children after leaving Riyadh, where she has been living with Cristiano Ronaldo since the football star signed with Al-Nassr FC in early 2023.
According to reports, Rodríguez departed the Saudi capital aboard her private jet following the recent escalation of conflict in the region, including a drone attack linked to Iran that targeted the U.S. Embassy in Riyadh earlier this month.
While it remains unclear whether the move is temporary or a longer break from the region, Rodríguez has been spending time in Madrid focusing on family life and her faith.
During her stay, she visited the historic site known as the Valley of Cuelgamuros, formerly called the Valley of the Fallen, where she attended a Catholic mass alongside several of her children.
The visit quickly caught the attention of her more than 70 million followers after she shared moments from the experience on Instagram. Reflecting on the ceremony, Rodríguez described it simply as “The most beautiful mass I have ever attended,” posting videos and photos that captured the atmosphere inside the basilica.
Images shared on her account showed the family arriving quietly at the abbey and walking through its long corridors. In one touching moment, her youngest daughter, Bella Esmeralda, appeared alongside siblings Mateo and Alana Martina as they entered the church together. Bella stood between them, wearing a striking gold jacket with ruffled details.
Rodríguez also shared glimpses of the basilica’s interior, including its vast dome decorated with intricate mosaics and the main altar, which features a large wooden crucifix created by Spanish sculptor Julio Beovide. In another image, Bella Esmeralda is seen speaking with the abbey’s prior, Father Alfredo Maroto.
For the visit, Rodríguez opted for a subdued look that matched the solemn setting and Madrid’s gray weather. She wore dark jeans paired with a green leather jacket and a dark fur scarf while posing outside the monumental complex.
One of the photos shows her standing near the sculpture of the Pietà by Juan de Ávalos at the base of the enormous 150-meter cross that rises above the surrounding landscape.
Her visit also highlights a personal aspect of Rodríguez that she has never hidden from the public. The influencer often speaks openly about her Catholic faith, even describing herself on social media as a “mom of 6 blessings,” referring to the children she shares with Ronaldo.
Religion has long played a role in her life. In July 2025, Rodríguez visited the Sanctuary of Fátima in Portugal, bringing dozens of white roses to leave at the altar. She marked the moment online with the caption “Visit to Our Lady of Fátima.” She has also previously shared images taken at the Santa María de Caná Church in Pozuelo de Alarcón near Madrid.
Beyond faith, Rodríguez has often emphasized that family remains her top priority. In a past interview with Vogue, she explained how her work schedule revolves around her children. “All my photoshoots and work commitments are organized around our family’s availability. Our children always accompany me on all my trips so that I can enjoy them at every moment.”
For now, Rodríguez appears focused on creating quiet moments with her children in Spain while uncertainty continues to surround the situation in the Middle East. Whether the stay in Madrid becomes a longer retreat or simply a brief pause remains to be seen.
